FAQs about Battersea holidays
Battersea is one of London’s most sought-after residential neighbourhoods. Quality of life is good, and crime is lower than the national average. Take the precautions you would in any big city. Stay aware of your surroundings when you’re out late and in busy areas.
Battersea Power Station’s chimneys are this area’s most famous landmark — you can see them featured prominently on the cover of Pink Floyd’s ‘Animals’ album. Battersea is also home to Clapham Junction, one of Britain’s busiest rail stations, and New Covent Garden, a famous wholesale produce market.
The area has certainly gone upmarket, but you’ll find plenty of happy hour deals designed to attract you to the neighbourhood. You can also head to the local joints along Lavender Hill or Battersea Rise.
