This is a newer hotel with a great location in the busy city of Tlemcen. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, hot water copious, and the price very attractive. In a city where there are chain hotels in remote locations, the Grand Basskn puts you where the action is, with a bonus of being across rhe street from a lovely park. Do not pass this one by!

Disappointing hotel.

I spent one night in this hotel. The evening and night receptionist was very kind. The room was clean, but too small for 3 people (2 adults and one child).
The negative points are the noise, because there is no insulation in the rooms. You can even hear people when they talk in the café downstairs, in addition to the noise of the air conditioner and its motor, as well as the fridge. The noises did not let us sleep.
The 2nd negative point is the breakfast. Well, that was a total disappointment; there was nothing at all, everything was empty even though they normally finish at 10:00 AM. I asked them to bring back the pastries because the baskets were empty, and he brought me back a single croissant. I asked for hot water for my pregnant wife, and he brought me a thermos with yellow tap water.
I do not recommend this hotel.

The hotel is strategically located in the heart of the town, within walking distance of major city attractions. While the building itself is older, it is clean and well maintained. The towels and bed linens were fresh, and the room was equipped with air conditioning. The breakfast selection is modest but sufficient. Wi‑Fi worked very well throughout the stay, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants in the surrounding area.

Hotel not bad

Friendly and helpful staff....not luxury but good value for money
Well placed, overlooking a park....
The garbage on the street ruins the frame.
