Absolutely loved this place.
Slightly out of Cachi town, but still an extremely affable place to spend a night or few days. We were here for 1 night only, and found everything one would need to use as a self catering unit - 2 bedrooms and a lovely kitchen and lounge with large grou,nds outside, nice enough shower/toilet which all worked fine. The owner lives on the grounds and she was very nice, though limited English. There is a small grocery shop right opposite where we got some milk for our cereals next morning. We ere here in Jan 2018.
All in all, a highly recommended place.

Good potential but not impressed
Cabaña El Fuerte comprises a couple of bungalows located about 3km away from the town centre, deep in the outskirts of Cachi. As long as we know, there's no local public transport that takes you there, so they are indicated only for hosts with car. It's not very difficult to find the place as there are a couple of signs to help, although attention is needed. The road is not paved.
We got the bungalow next to the entrance, which has two bedrooms and is spacious enough for four people. There's plenty of space for parking as the lot is big and isn't landscaped.
The kitchen is small compared to the rest of the rooms. Big fridge, poor kitchenware and cutlery. Bathroom OK, with shower and no bath. Nice hot water; no toiletries at all (not even soap). Good size of bedroom; comfy mattress; no wardrobe, tiny bedside tables, we piled up clothes on a chair.
WiFi signal wasn't strong but alright for basic surfing, depending on your location inside the bungalow. There's a flat TV in the dining room which we didn't use, but it's just by the bedroom and becomes dangerous for your head when coming out of it, especially when you're sleepy!
Service was fine, although you can tell they are new in this business. The woman who received us (not the owner) and her daughter were nice and attentive. Breakfast was particularly poor as included only coffee or tea and some toast with little butter and jam.
As mentioned in the title, this place has good potential but it has to be developed through serious hotel business training and attention to detail, which is their weakest feature. All in all, we left the lodge feeling somewhat disappointed but trying to be optimistic and thus thinking we might give them another try next time in Cachi.

Absolument au top !
Le chalet est très agréable, pour le prix les prestations sont parfaites.
Salle à manger avec télévision, cuisine attenante, chambres très confortables avec vue sur les montagnes. Chauffage général et d'appoint. Le Wi-Fi est très bon.
Petit déjeuner exceptionnel et que dire de l'accueil de la propriétaire, une perle, accompagnée de sa fille le matin ; une petite famille formidable.
Nous recommandons à 200% si vous passez dans le coin. Ne soyez pas intimidé par la route pour y aller, c'est très rapide et vu ce qu'il vous attend après, ceci n'est qu'un échauffement ^^

Une très bonne adresse
Petite propriété de 2 hébergements un peu en dehors de Cachi, avec un parking privé, l’emplacement est très agréable avec une belle vue sur la montagne. L’accès se fait uniquement en voiture (pas de transport en commun).
Notre chambre était calme et très propre. Nous avions une pièce avec un lit double, un lit simple et un petit coin cuisine. La salle d’eau est également bien aménagée et on y retrouve tous le nécessaire.
Le petit déjeuné compris dans notre formule est un peu léger, un jus de fruit aurait été apprécié.
Bilan, un logement très agréable pour une nuit ou plus mais nécessite d’avoir un véhicule.

Il y a deux maisons sur le site. Nous avions le choix. Dans la première, le WiFi ne fonctionnait pas. Elle comprend 2 chambres mais pas de salon. Dans la seconde, c’est une grande pièce avec un divan, le lit et dans un coin, un espace cuisine qui est minimal. Pour le déjeuner, on nous a servi du café instant et 2 tortilla chacun. Le seul bon point est la vue sur la montagne. Pour rejoindre le site, il faut prendre une route de terre.
