The best view!
Hysteria has a rustic vibe, but I think they should give a good rest with quality mattresses and pillows to the guests (including me) for me it is super important, even more so when you have all day excursions, the body needs a good rest to be able to continue the next day. Topic aside carpets.
Beyond these details, I do not regret choosing this place to stay!

A piece of home far away from home in the Estancia La Estepa
The location of the Estancia is ideal – at the end of the village, directly on the road to the Perito Moreno glacier, but still in a pleasant calm. The large panoramic windows open up a breathtaking view of the lake from sunrise to sunset.
The breakfast was rich, lovingly prepared and delighted us every morning – just delicious! Unfortunately, we only had the opportunity to enjoy dinner once, because that too was excellent.
I would particularly like to highlight the staff who were all extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating. A special thanks goes to Valeria, whose tips and recommendations were always precise and tailored to us.
Estancia La Estepa has definitely become a place of longing for me. We can highly recommend a stay!

“Don’t recommend: guest abandoned to his own luck after suffering burn in the shower.”
My name is Claudia, I am 55 years old and I went on vacation in Argentina with 2 sisters and my brother-in-law. We arrived in Buenos Aires on 03/01/2025.
On 05/01/2025 we went to El Calafate and stayed at Hosteria La Estepa. We had a reservation of 2 rooms until 09/01/2025.
We arrived at the airport around 20:30 and the hotel around 22 hours. We stayed and went to dinner at the hotel.
Then we went to the room and my sister took a bath and said the water was cooling and heating itself. About midnight I went to take a shower and checked the shower temperature before entering the bath that exists under the shower. When I entered the bathtub I realized that the water was very cold and I moved to move in the hot water tap, when then I slipped and fell into the bathtub and in this instant the water became too hot, boiling and although I managed to get up in seconds, it was enough time to burn myself in various parts of the body. having the burn of the left leg was deep and of extreme pain. The hotel warned that the reception was open until 23:30 and after that there was a call for emergencies. We called several times and no one answered. She had just arrived in town, knew nothing and we were still away from the center of town. Thank God I had a ointment that my sisters passed and I took pain medication to see if I could sleep. I was able to sleep around 3:00 a.m. I woke up and was informed by the hotel the address of the hospital. And that the administration was deciding what would be done in this case. Later I asked what the administration had decided and was informed that they were analyzing and that I would be informed. I went to the hospital on my own. I was treated and medicated and left with a prescription. Day after day doing curatives and taking the prescription medications. On the day of check-out I asked at the hotel if anyone would talk to me about what happened and the supervisor said that there was nothing to do.
Well, in addition to a total lack of empathy and humanity, there is a lack of knowledge, professionalism and training. The hotel has objective responsibility for what happens to its guests in its premises.
After all, the reason for this report is to say that it was horrible what I went through and that I would not want anyone else to go through. I've seen cases of elderly people who died from the same form.
I don't think the temperature could be that high. I also question the bath that facilitates falls and the lack of assistance from the hotel.
I had second-degree burns.
