Relax. Mountains. And soulful Armenia
But our main discovery is guided tours. Special human thanks to guide Michael Nazarian (tel. +37494745426). We went with him a day later, and it wasn't just excursions, it was a real immersion in history and culture. A magnificent guide, a storyteller from God and just a soul man! If you go to Armenia - be sure to address him, you will not regret!
Hotel and country captured our hearts. We'll definitely be back!

The most arrogant female staff
After living outside Armenia for the past 12 years, my husband, daughter, and I came to spend two days at the hotel. We chose Marriott because we trust the brand, and in fact, we always stay here whenever we visit Tsaghkadzor. That is exactly why today’s experience was so upsetting.
While the facilities are acceptable—although I believe they could be better considering the price we paid—what completely spoiled the beginning of our vacation was the attitude of the reception staff.
The receptionist who checked us in (I believe her name was Susanna) treated me with a judgmental and dismissive attitude. Even though I was speaking Armenian, she continued replying to me in English and made me feel completely ignored. Instead of feeling welcomed as a returning guest, I felt judged and humiliated.
Unfortunately, this attitude was not limited to one employee. Most of the female staff we encountered came across as arrogant and looked at guests as though they were beneath them. Hospitality is about making people feel welcome and respected, and this was the exact opposite.
I have traveled extensively and stayed at some of the world’s finest hotels, and I have never experienced such an unprofessional welcome. It was especially disappointing to experience this in my own home country after being away for so many years.
As a loyal returning guest, I believe the management owes us an apology. This level of customer service is completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one carrying the Marriott name. I intend to raise this matter with Marriott’s senior management because this is not the standard guests should expect from such a respected international brand.
I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that all guests—whether local, returning, or visiting from abroad—are treated with courtesy, warmth, and professionalism.

- comfortable bed and linen
- good toiletries
- great wifi
- excellent breakfast and dinner
- safe parking under cameras
- very helpful staff
- pool and gym
- the entire territory is very clean and well maintained
- the feeling of uniting with nature as there is no noise at all
Cons:
- there was a leakage in my bathroom
- light in the room and corridor was extremely bad
- cost - quite expensive
- offroad - if you need to explore the town, you have either to drive, or take a long walk (about 30 minutes uphill)
Recommended:
If you are a big family or group of friends, cottages are just ok to reserve.
Otherwise, book a room in the main building to avoid climbing over the hill ))
