Much better than the crowded downtown beaches!

Stayed at Pearl Aruba Condos following a 5 night stay at Barcelo’s in Palm Beach and must say we were beyond pleased to end our vacation with Pearl Aruba. Eagle Beach, just a short walk down the road was so much better than the beach by the larger all inclusive resorts closer to downtown. The water is literally crystal blue, and the current varies from some pretty decent waves in the morning to have fun diving under to calm waters in the afternoon you can float in with ease. The sand is so pure white with little to no seaweed or sea shells on the bottom of the ocean. That wasn’t our experience on Palm Beach where there was much more sea weed and the water was much less clear due to heavy motor activity in the water from boats. They also have built in palapa/tiki huts on the beach that offer shade and a table built in. There was more room on the beach so it wasn’t as crowded, and it had more of a native Aruban feel to the entire beach than the mainstream areas that were beyond overcrowded. The little Anapo Mini Market right down the road from the condos has literally everything you could want or need for a few nights stay including alcohol, beer etc. at responsible prices. They only accept Visa and cash no Amex or Discover just as a FYI. The food there is also pretty decent! Shakers Cocktail Shack was our favorite bar of our entire stay as a whole and is connected right to the condos. Food was amazing, drinks were amazing, prices were responsible and the atmosphere of the bar is a must see. Trust me if you go once you’ll want to go back again. Don’t forget Aruba allows open carry of alcohol on the streets too so you can always get to-go cocktails. The condo was equipped with everything and anything we could have needed and expected. The little attention to details really stood out to us. The WiFi service was good, and security at the condo works all night and literally helps you with everything! They spoiled us to the point of personally ordering us Dominos Pizza and delivering it to our room haha. Eagle Beach was also very lovely and private at night and the area as a whole seemed and felt very safe for the entirety of our stay. It was also quick and easy to call and get a taxi anytime right from the condos. Taxis are the way to go to and from the airport and cost around $32 from the airport to the condos and around $10 from the condos to the downtown area. The pool was extremely nice! It is lit up at night until 10pm and glows bluish-green. It’s really beautiful and was quiet and less crowded overall then the all inclusive resort pools and you won’t have to fight for a chair. Front desk staff was amazingly accommodating to our every need. There was a good mix of young/older crowd at the condos and everyone was really friendly. They also offer really high end outdoor grilling stations with a sink and grilling equipment provided. You can also walk about 15 min on a side street to get to the main large Supermarket for groceries and they have an IMAX theatre, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and a high end (50-70 dollars a plate) newer restaurant right up the road from the condos called Screaming Eagle. Condos are equipped with anything and everything you need to cook a meal, and also provide 4 Tommy Bahama Beach Chairs with a backpack cooler built in that you can use for your stay. They also provide mini toiletries etc. so you really do have what you would need for a couple nights with housekeeping cleaning every 5th night of your stay. Overall highly recommended!

Bartender is Racist

The bartender was extremely racist allowed non-blacks to do things that blacks couldn’t do. Did not allow blacks to come into the bar. Told us he didn’t like his job because he had to wait on people. Very strange person to have employed where you serve people of all races. Because of his racism didn’t trust to have him make a drink for our entire party.

Excellent

Our experience at The Pearl Aruba was excellent. We spent 10 nights in the 2 bedroom apartment with terrace (by terrace refers to a ground floor space). The rooms are huge with en-suite bathrooms each, large TVs and very comfortable beds. The kitchen is well equipped. Dab ice cream makers, loungers and beach towels. The common area has gas grills and large pools. The location is also very good, although it is not located on the beach, it is reached by walking in less than 5 minutes. The nearby beach is the best, for now it has few people although they are building large hotels. I highly recommend this hotel, considering it is cheaper than hotels on the beach

Great location

Apartment equipped with every comfort located very close to Eagle Beach (by far the best beach).
Beautiful pool and comfortable beach towels provided.
Supermarket not far away.
We were greeted very well by the guard because the reception was already closed.
Super recommended for a relaxing holiday.
