Great little B & B

Great little B & B in a quiet area about five minutes drive out of Bathurst. Very comfortable bed and very warm and cosy. Friendly hosts who give you your own space. Parking is available off street and at front of premises. Very affordable place to stay and booking can be made over the Internet.

Interesting experience

I have never stayed at a B & B before so this was my first experience, the place is just outside of Bathurst, not quite walking distance and reasonably clean, the guest room I stayed in was warm and the bed very comfortable. Shared bathroom clean but there were no other guests in at the time with a nice warm and large shower. Once Betty the host stopped telling us about her problems and life we were able to sleep in peace. The Wi-Fi was quite good with parking for two cars of the street at the most, but the neighbourhood seems quiet if you missed out. She made a time for breakfast and made us toast, telling us where everything was even when it was just in front of us, she appears to be a bit of a control freak and I would imagine you wouldn't be able to make your own. Throughout breakfast she wanted to chat and in between that absolutely ridiculed her poor suffering husband about his issues. The place is good value and if you don't mind a chat Betty will accommodate. Not sure whether I would stay again.

RIPPED OFF BY BETTY at B&B's Retreat!

Do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere!!!
RUDE, ARROGANT, OBNOXIOUS, TOXIC.
We travelled from the Gold Coast to Bathurst to attend the GT Falcon Nationals over the last weekend in April.
We were assured of off street parking for our 1971 GTHO Falcon,
Bettys husband (poor bloke) said there was parking for four cars round the side out of view accessed by a cul-de-sac with very little traffic....On our arrival Betty hunted us away from the one car taking up central position blocking any chance of getting another car in, she told us the park on the footpath driveway on the busy street side, expected to leave a $150,000 collector item historic muscle car out as a target for car thieves or vandals.
THE IRON LADY'S ASSURANCE OF A REFUND HAS NOT BEEN FORTHCOMING (surprise surprise!)

Retreat...... as fast as you can!

I would suggest retreat is very appropriate.... as far away from this establishment as possible. Rude, arrogant treatment was unbelievable by Betty the owner. Apalling email response recieved when trying to cancel a booking over 1 month ahead as a result of a mistake (yes my mistake). Should have read Trip Advisor reviews BEFORE making booking.

I waited till I calmed down

Months and months ago but I had to say something...... I read the other reviews and I know it wasnt just me... Don't..... just DON'T.
Yes it is clean. The bed was comfortable and if the owner did not live there it wouldnt be all that bad. But she does.
