The room was clean and spacious with a view to the hills. Although it was raining, the pool and spa were still inviting as they were warmer than the air temperature as we visited at the end of winter.
Buffet Breakfast was served in The Promenade restaurant which overlooks beautiful Glenelg beach and the jetty.
We also had a delightful high tea with sparkling wine.
The Grand is very well located near cafes, restaurants, shops and the tram to Adelaide CBD is just outside the entrance,

Great location and good for a base to see Glenelg and surrounds plus Morphetville races.
Hotel interiors are looking old and tired and need rejuvenating

Winter Indulgence at the Stamford Grand in Glenelg, SA

We have used the Stamford Grand's Winter Indulgence package before for a birthday occasion and this time it proved to be a similar excellent experience. The only downside we experienced this time was that we could not utilise the Promenade Restaurant for our dinner at night and had to use the Bar for dinner as we stayed on a Thursday night. However, everything else in the package was excellent. The breakfast in the Promenade Restaurant was brilliant. Well done to the chefs and the service people.

We stayed for two nights in a city view room. The room was quiet and dark at night and the bed comfortable. The location is great, close to the jetty, the trams and all the cafes of Jetty Rd. The hotel was good value for the price we paid.
Here's a comment I don't think has been made before: The table tennis table in the bar is a great touch but the (rigid metal) "net" is at least 2cm higher than standard.

Very enjoyable stay
