Great place for a few days in Townsville. Great walking track leading to the Fort. Unfortunately the property is undergoing renovations so the restaurant was closed and no restaurants nearby if you don’t have a car

The owner of the hotel is terrible. It is not resort quality. They do not change your sheets, they could clear see something was spilt and did not change only made the bed, replaced the towels, not hand towels or floor mat. No hair dryer. A resort normally has all the luxuries. Also their dining area in under renovation and you can pick from only 4 meals for dinner. The area this supposedly resort is, is not a good area and was lots of people on drugs around there.

Will be lovely when Reno complete

Travelling back from cairns after visiting family we chose this place for a stopover
The renovated room was well appointed and the bed comfortable. The gardens were Lo Ely and we took a walk through the back to the beach
There is a lot of Reno work happening and the restaurant looks as though it will be nice when complete with a terrace over looking the gatdens.

Had a good stay. It was basic but clean and tidy. I checked in late so no interaction with staff. Instructions were clear

The girl at reception during check-in was quite unwelcoming and seemed like she couldn’t really be bothered. On the other hand, the man at checkout and the lady at breakfast were both super friendly and helpful.
The place itself is OK - clean enough and perfectly fine for the price, but nothing particularly special. Breakfast is continental only, so don’t expect any hot items like eggs or sausages. The coffee was good though.
Parking felt safe and the surrounding area was nice to walk around. It’s also only a couple of minutes’ drive into town where you can find good food options.
