Great
This hotel was recommended by our accommodation as it was dog friendly… so off we went for lunch.
Nice separate area for patrons with dogs - water bowls provided.
Very friendly staff. Easy to order. ( in person or via your phone ). Nice meals but the standout was the crème Brûlée with blackberry compote… delicious.
Looks like the place has been fairly recently renovated? Certainly very nice , with FABULOUS views of Lake Macquarie and the yacht club near the water.
Lovely little garden too. And parking. Would definitely recommend

Ghastly Gunyah
Unbelievable bad service meals forgotten after waiting over an hour and then to find we were overcharged and had to negotiate a refund. Food choice was very limited for lunch and what was delivered was acceptable but ordinary. It was very noisy and hot in the main room and a bit stuffy but the view over the lake is great. We found it hard to converse.

Noise from DJ in bar late at night marred an otherwise good stay
We stayed here as a family of 4 for one night (last Saturday). We stayed in a two bedroom suite, which was well presented, clean and spacious. One room had a double bed, the other had 2 singles, and there was a separate living area with a bar fridge and kettle.
All 3 rooms in the suite had TVs and appeared recently renovated. There was reverse cycle air conditioning, but the remote control did not work (we had a similar problem with one of the TVs. The bathroom was functional but dated. We found the beds to be very comfortable and there is free parking.
The reason the review only gets 3 stars is the noise. There was a DJ playing to an empty dance floor downstairs late into the evening, we couldn’t get to sleep until after midnight as the noise was so loud and intrusive. I went downstairs to see what was happening to find a largely empty bar and and empty dancefloor… given that most of the other guests in the accommodation rooms were either young families or elderly I can’t imagine they appreciated the noise intrusion either
You can buy drinks at the bar totake upstairs to the accommodation.
The hotel was very affordable, but we did note it was cheaper on booking.com than when booking direct. We would probably choose to stay elsewhere if we travelled to Belmont as a family again, the price did not make up for the noise.

Seafood Bouillabaisse….Don’t order it.
Quite a nice pub. Well decked out clean and comfortable
Nice cold beer but the food…the seafood bouillabaisse was probably up there with the worst meal I’ve ever been served. The half bug was inedible, watery, odd tasting seafood and the soup base was awful.
Other meals coming out looked great so maybe just a bad choice.
I would delete it from the menu. I can’t imagine anyone would enjoy it.

Great pub lunch with views.
Stopped in for a quick lunch on a Saturday. Pub was quite busy but we managed to get a table. Would recommend booking and a window table as this pub has awesome views. Food and drink super easy to order from table using their app. Food and drink arrived quickly and was delicious. Fish and chips and the roast pumpkin salad. Staff friendly.
