Located directly across from the Oval, we could walk into town. Really nice staff, good messaging on App. Bedding was super clean and we both slept really well. Thanks

Worst Hotel Ever

We rarely post negative reviews, but our experience at Oval Motel Bendigo was so unacceptable that we feel obligated to share it.
The moment we entered the room, we were shocked by the level of filth. Behind the toilet door, we found a pair of dirty women’s underwear. A used, dirty towel was hanging behind the bathroom door, and a used shower cap had been left in the bathroom. These are not minor oversights — they clearly indicate the room had not been properly cleaned before our arrival.
The property itself is old, run-down, and filled with a strong, unpleasant odor that lingered throughout the night. We discovered late at night that our room had not been cleaned properly. Unfortunately, the motel was fully booked, and at that hour it was extremely difficult to arrange alternative accommodation. We had no practical option but to remain for the night.
Although we originally booked two nights, the conditions were so unacceptable that we could not stay any longer and checked out early.
To make matters worse, the owner initially assured us that we would receive a refund. The following day, he reversed his position and told us to contact the booking agent instead. This lack of accountability and honesty significantly compounded an already terrible experience.
This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst accommodation experiences we have ever had. The owner and staff were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. We strongly advise others to avoid staying here. — in Bendigo.

Very small room and tight space. Aged facilities, lack of fly screen in bathroom and toilet so be prepared to encounter mosquito. light outside room is too bright and affects sleep at night. Parking spot a but challenging to navigate.
