A great stay with very welcoming staff in a great position

We booked this hotel on the reviews we had read for our holiday in Australia in November. We were visiting family in Bendigo.
We cannot praise this hotel enough from our arrival after our 23 hrs flight and 2hours car trip from the airport the staff on the desk were so welcoming and throughout our 6 days here all the staff were wonderful,
We had asked for a room with a lake view and we got a high floor room with a balcony at the front of the hotel, lovely to wake up with views of the lake and all the people enjoying running and walking around it. The room was very spacous with a large bed, a corner sofa to relax on, loads of cupboard and drawer space, kettle tea & coffe, a drawer of crockery and cutlery for two so we could have snacks in the room if wanted. I believe you can also request a microwave, had a TV, lots of plug sockets and USB sockets for charging phones. A large shower room with quality toiletries and hairdryer.
Very comfortable bed and pillows.
We hadn't booked breakfast but after trying it the first morning found there was an excellent choice for a reasonable price so ended having it every morning.(Mondays closed but the Tram museum short walk away does do breakfast rolls and coffee very nice.)
Look out for the special offers for drinks and pizza meals.
Hotel is great for walks around the lake and a flat easywalk into the centre of Bendigo.
Like to mention the resturant manager as she was so helpful when we wanted advise and went out of her way to take us to the station at the end of our stay which was so lovely of her, thank you very much.
A great stay and we would recomend it to anyone wanting to stay in Bendigo a wonderful city full of history and places to visit.

Quality Hotel Lakeside is a great option to have when visiting or staying near the Bendigo area. If you’re after a particular room, book months in advance as I was just able to secure this room with 2-3 only available when I booked. Some may call it quite pricey, but for what you get it’s worth it. Only negative thing is that checkout is at 10am, and I wasn’t able to get it extended an hour longer due to the amount of luggage that my family and I bought.

Excellent bed

This hotel is opposite Lake Weeroona in North Bendigo so is a couple of kilometres from the city centre.
Checkin was painless.
Our two bedroom apartment was well furnished with a very comfortable bed that thankfully had a top sheet over the doona, induction cooking facilities, good aircon in each room and plenty of space to watch TV or dine.
It was well soundproofed. WiFi worked without any troubles.
Lighting in each room was acceptable.
At dinner, the beef was undercooked, not my preferred 'medium well' but was still nice.
