A comfortable and relatively convenient hotel.

I stayed in a hotel room in the Oaks Broome Hotel. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a king bed, 2 chairs, microwave, fridge and kettle as well as tea & coffee. It was on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the pool. There is a lift. I was able to adjust the aircon so that it was at a temperature to be able to sleep at night and then adjust it up for comfort during the day. The only problem was that they charged an excess for using a credit card to pay and I could have payed by debit card if I had been told. The Oaks Broome Hotel is a bit of a walk into the shopping area of Broome but very convenient to Town Beach and the viewing area for Staircase to the Moon. There's a bus stop outside the hotel but I chose to walk. The pool wasn't heated, so was cool to swim in it, but refreshing.

Stay was OK

Stayed here while working at Broome Cup so did not get time to use all the amenities so will only review what I used. The room is ok and quite comfortable for what I used it for, showering and sleeping. Bed was big and very comfortable. Was not a fan of the 2 door system to get to your room as both doors are very noisy to close so either you are disturbing or being disturbed if someone is leaving early or arriving late. I guess it is for security but still very noisy. The ceiling fan in my room had a click to it so when it was on it continually clicked. It was not very loud but you did notice it when it was quiet. I was impressed that the lamps on the bedsides had a USB slot so you could charge your phone while sleeping but then found out when you switch the light off, it also switches the USB off, so not as useful. I also could not plug my phone charger into the power point behind the bedside table as the bed was blocking them. I did like that there was 2 bottles of complimentary water in the fridge but that wasn't topped up daily so it is just 2 for your whole stay. I ended up using 1 bottle to put in the kettle for making coffee as the kettle does not fit under the tap in the bathroom. Only other way was to use the shower or fill it 1 cup at a time from coffee cups. There is plenty of complimentary coffee and tea available. The bathroom was nice and spacious but there 3 different brands of toilet paper so I don't know which they normally use. Either way, they were all 2 ply. There is a sign (like most hotels) that to save the environment, hang your towels up if you are happy to use them again, which I did, but came back to fresh towels each day, though this is just all hotels anyway. I took quite a few showers (morning and evening) and every shower I took with the tap turned to fully hot, the water was luke warm at best except for 1 where it was warm. Never got hot. The walls are quite thin so I was able to hear the people in the next room when they were watch tv or talking loudly. We did eat at the restaurant each night and can say the food was great and the service was excellent. We did not have the breakfast as we started earlier than it is open. All the staff we interacted with were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. The pool did look inviting but just did not get the time to try it. Would stay again as there is just a few little niggles that I found but still a great stay.

Oak broome

I had a very pleasant stay at Oaks Broome Hotel. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with a lovely balcony and excellent air conditioning. The two swimming pools were fantastic and provided a great place to relax after exploring Broome. The hotel is conveniently located near Town Beach and other local attractions, with secure parking available. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The overall atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The restaurant and some facilities could benefit from a little updating, but overall, I found the hotel to be good value for money and would happily stay here again.
