Sundowner.

Staff and room was very pleasant. It was convenient to be able to go into the pub dining room for a meal also. Bed was comfy and the balcony was a plus. It was also quiet. We would definitely stay again.

Disgraceful experience

Krazy Kathy’s karaoke at the sundowner hotel was one of the most disappointing disorganised crap nights I’ve ever had. The useless host was bias and had favouritism towards friends and children. Was there for 3 hours straight and got one song in. Spent hundreds on drinks between myself and my partner and friends waiting for a song and then you have people are sitting there drinking water and spending nothing and getting in 3-4 songs to my measly 1. Then a lady came in with 6 kids and sang songs one after another with each child. It was so frustrating and annoying. I will never ever go back there again for karaoke. My advice is, Do not waste your time with these idiots, they are so unprofessional and useless, it will just ruin your evening. We have been to so many karaoke places and always had fun. This franchise is pathetic and a laughing stock in comparison to all the others we’ve been to

Staff very friendly and room clean. Very convenient location for railway to the city and the Sunny Coast. The toilet seat in our unit was split, both the lid and the seat itself. Also, air con didn't heat. It turned on but little air came out, and none of it warm. Also, more than one knife and fork would have been an appreciated. There was a lack of powerpoints within range of the main bed.

Sunday Lunch

We came for a Sunday pub lunch - 3 adults & a an 8 year old. Kids meals are free on Sundays (the 8 yo had chicken nuggets & chips, a $13 saving). They also had a lady doing face painting for the kids - the 8 yo lived it and got her whole face painted & some of her arms as well (about 4 visits all up!). They did a kids ‘frog in a pond’ (lime jelly with a chocolate frog) for $2.50. I ordered the Angus Beef Lasagna with chips & salad. The lasagna was excellent. I ordered the Seniors version as recommended by my friend as we noticed how huge the portion sizes were. They were out of a few of the menu items including the pork belly. The staff were friendly & there was live music outside. The indoor dining area was laid back and inviting as far as pubs go.

Staff were courteous but the room was a bit of a disappointment. I was there for 4 days & there was no detergent or tea towel to was up the cutlery & crockery. Inn be killed a giant bug when I arrived then got woken at 3am by a cockroach crawling across my face & got stuck in my hair.
