Best hostel in Cairns!!

Such a great and cool vibe! Facilities are really clean, the outside area is super nice, staff are friendly and efficient and always keen to help. I enjoyed my stay and will be back for sure!

Trip in cairns

I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Cairns! Mummas has such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with clean facilities and awesome common areas where it’s easy to meet people from all over the world. It instantly felt comfortable and made my time in Cairns even more enjoyable.
A special thank you to Thomas and Camille at reception. They were both amazing throughout my stay always smiling, approachable, and genuinely happy to help with anything. Their positive energy and excellent customer service really make Mummas stand out.
I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Cairns. Great vibes, great people, and an experience I’ll definitely come back for!

The best hostel in Australia

I arrived at Mumm'as for 3 night... and spent over a month there.
I astonished by the poor reviews on tripadvisor, when I saw the latest where in 2023. A new manager and his team have taken over the hostel, and the previous comments and pictures are outdates.
Here are a few reasons why it is by far the best hostel I have stayed in Australia:
1/ It is an extremely clean place (they clean common areas 3 times a day)
2/ The rooms are not packed to maximise space, so you don't feel squeezed in it. And big plus: all the beds have curtains so you can enjoy some privacy.
3/ The atmosphere in the hostel is so nice, people are friendly and open. it is not a party hostel, so for those who are light sleepers (like me) you can enjoy peacefull night.
4/ Last and foremost, the Mumma's team is ever so friendly welcoming and makes you feel at home.

All good, would stay again

I have arrived past 10, but it wasn't a problem as the reception is open until 12 am.
Staff was friendly and helpful, everything was clean and it was quite (Friday night).
Good location, close to everything. It's about 20 $ from the airport with Uber.
Free basic breakfast (toast with condiments, cereals).
I would stay again, and I'm not usually a hostel type, let alone shared dorms
