We stayed in a king suite that overlooked the marina and esplanade. The view was well worth the extra. We enjoyed our room and the extras that came with it. Access to private lounge that included a large buffet breakfast and 2 hour happy hour every day for both of us was clearly worth the upgrade. Location was very close to good restaurants and walking distance to everything. Both location and accommodations were safe and well maintained. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Location is perfect with access to the ferry terminal.

This hotel has great location right on the marina and with lots of quality restaurants easily accessible from the hotel. Every room comes with a balcony. Garden view rooms are closer to the lifts than the ocean view rooms, for which you may have to walk a fair bit. Breakfast is not included in most room rates on offer. It will cost you an extra 65-70 dollars for two per day.

Amazing escape from the cold (Canberra)

We loved our stay at Shangri-La Marina resort for my birthday. We were in a lovely, spacious suite which overlooked the Salt complex. We were given Horizon access during our stay which was fabulous! A lovely breakfast each morning and the drinks and nibbles each evening were also amazing.
As mentioned in other reviews, the staff are amazing (and the housekeeping staff are super busy).
The bed was sooo comfy.
Our room was also at the end of one of the very long hallways but was handy for getting up our steps each day.
I loved laying by the pool, reading and having a swim while my hubby explored on his hired mountain bike (we drove to Palm Cove to pick it up).
A walk along the boardwalk was also lovely.

The staff and location are outstanding! However, our room was quite worn and needs remodeling.
