Pleasantly Surprised by the Warm Shaded Pool

Honestly came here mostly for the location but the pool completely won me over. It was definately warmer than I expected, even on a mild afternoon, and the way part of it sits in shade later in the day made it so comfortable you genuinely did not want to get out. We ended up spending way longer in there than we had planned. The rooms are very unique in how well they block out street noise, seriously quiet for a property sitting right in the middle of the city. The staff at reception were genuinely friendly and not just in a going-through-the-motions way, they actually sorted out a couple of things for us without any fuss at all. Location is brilliant if you want to walk to most things Canberra has on offer. Would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.

The balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows provided brilliant views of the lake and Parliament House.

80’s style but large! Full dining room. Loved the verandah. Great views. Comfy lounges and beds.

Beautiful heated pool

Worth staying for the pool! - beautiful and warm, even on a day that wasn't too hot. Could've stayed in there for hours. Even shady in the afternoon. Also great location, quiet rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff
