Spectacular building (outside) & view

This B&B style place is built on a hill side, and looks fantastic. It has a long steep driveway (one lane, with traffic lights), ending at the B&B, with sufficient space to park 4-5 cars. (2 at the top, the rest along the driveway). If you need to (un)load your vehicle, it may be wise to stop at the pool area, as this allows to enter the rooms without any stairs. When you park at the end, you can use stairs to come to the same level. The pool looks great (it is rather small), but it was too cold during our stay (in August). Our host Frank showed us around: the breakfast area, a space where you can warm your food (no cooking allowed), the porch… and finally the room. The room had two beds, a shower and a separate toilet. It has all you need, but it looks very basic compared to the outside of the building which looks very modern and stylish. Breakfast is served at the time you like, that is between 6:30 and 8:30 (in contradiction to what is mentioned in the guide in the room, which goes till 10:30…). You simply write your preferred breakfast time on the whiteboard, and you will find cereals, bread, fruit, yoghurt waiting for you. This was fine, apart from the fact that some of the goods had an outdated expiration date. (not a few days, but some yoghurt even + 2 weeks). Also be aware that check-out time is 10:00, which seems to be very early.
What ruined our impression was the moment we left: upon checking the room (to make sure we collected all our stuff), we opened the bed sheets, to find out there was a big spot in the middle (like someone had an accident, and it was for sure not us).
To conclude: + points are the spectacular building (on the outside) and views, very close to Palm Cove. On the downside, check the expiration date of the food.

Not what we were expecting

The view is stunning, the bed comfy (if you like very firm mattresses) and the shower is great. As it is an eco lodge to conserve the solar power rooms do not have fridges in them. Instead each room has a shelf in the communal kitchen area which you get to through the ‘not to be used except at breakfast’ beautiful large kitchen area. This felt a little like we were an imposition. Having to put on the board what time between 7:30 and 8:30 we wanted breakfast we were most surprised that it consisted of a couple of pots of yoghurt, cereals, a fruit bowl and some bread and jam etc with some toasters. Not sure why we needed to say when we would have it.
You need a car to get here (or taxi) as you can’t really walk anywhere.
The pool is an architectural award winner but too cold to use (I accept it is mid winter).

Relaxing Stay

My Girlfriend and I came here after we’ve had a sometimes stressful time in a camper.
Luckily this was the best place to come after the camper-trip.
We asked to put our suitcases earlier than our check in in the room and that was no problem.
When we arrived we were shown around and it’s even better than on the photos. We just recognized 1 camera and we didn’t felt uncomfortable with it .
The pool was clean, the room was clean and we got just a very good breakfast.
We didn’t had car so these guys were very friendly to bring us with their car to the beach and to the bus station!
This service was not included in the price but overwhelming and 6 of 5 possible stars.
We would come again and recommend this to everyone who just looks for a relaxing stay with a wonderful view and a little bit away from the city trouble !
Thank you very much !

Heavenly atmosphere and views.

Relaxation to the 10th degree. From the breathtaking views from our room, the huge shower and glorious king bed. To the infinity pool and brilliant heated spa and the scrumptious continental breakfast. We only booked for one night as we had a break from our travels further north but we didn't want to leave.
Situated among the treetops it really was heavenly with only the sounds of nature to break the quiet. It certainly is the perfect couples escape with comfortable luxury at every turn.

Awful

I must have stayed in a bad week, angry guests were leaving when I was arriving made it very unpleasant and uncomfortable. Also the owner Frank kept spying on my wife, service was really disappointing!
