A Slice of Heaven

Based on the great reviews on WikiCamps we popped into Corowa CP.
Karen was wonderful and showed us a tent site down in the corner by the river. It was absolutely perfect! We couldn't be happier with the spot and the price. We booked 3 nights.
We fell in love with Corowa and this CP. We wish we could stay a week - or longer! The amenities are terrific too. It's a quiet, peaceful park in lovely grounds.
The birdlife here is just incredible. We counted over 20 species, but there are many more. There are corellas, willie wagtails, magpies, magpie larks, ducks, egrets, pink and grey galahs, sulphur crested cockatoos and kingfishers darting in and out of the weeping willow, to name just a few.
Possums come out at night to take the apples we leave them and the kookaburras seem to get the last laugh as the sun goes down.

Customer Service

Customer service didn't exist, smile doesnt exist, forget asking for a refund doesn't exist. Best book day by day incase you have to leave, even half back would be appreciated.

Hidden gem

We had a couple of nights in this lovely van park. Karen in the offices was lovely and had some great ideas on places to visit.
The amenities were amazingly clean and quiet particularly the older ones in the middle of the park.
A nice quiet location to rest in between exploring.

A lovely forested park

I think we may have stayed here a few years ago but I think there have been lots of improvements since then. There are more permanent structures but they are well away from the casual sites. The grounds seems to be much better maintained now, the service was good at the front office and the prices were very good.

Peaceful and relaxing camping on The Murray at Corowa.

A wonderful three days here at Corowa in our caravan. The owners are so friendly and caring and have worked so hard on the flood impacted park. The bird life in the beautiful trees in the park is amazing. Kookaburras abound and so entertaining! What a peaceful spot. The camp kitchen was so handy and new ensuite family bathrooms at the river end of the park so convenient. The hard work has really paid off! Feel so sad for the annual park people who had their dear holiday vans impacted by the recent floods. Do visit folks, you'll be glad you did.
