upscale stay in a small surf town

I’m giving SeaSea a full 5 Stars because overall our experience here was fabulous. We stayed with our 3 young kids in the villa at the back of the property in March 2025. The weather was perfect during that shoulder season and the surf was perfect. The design of the hotel is cool and has good lively vibes around the pool and bar area. All the staff were super helpful, friendly, and understanding with kids. The restaurant menu had enough selection that we ate there once or twice a day for 5 days. There’s nothing in Australia that compares to SeaSea in style and atmosphere… especially in a town as cool & underrated at Crescent Head. If you’re after a more upscale stay in a small surf town this is your place. You can still walk to the shops, pub, and the beach. Plus e-bikes are provided! Definitely recommend.

Missed experience

We visited Sea Sea to have a drink with the possibility of a meal however the service we received changed our minds after we where told we had to order substantial main meals in a different part of our restaurant to have a drink. Well you just lost 6 adults and we walked out and went to the tavern.
Best of luck in the future cause when u don’t look after patrons in Cresent Head business can be hard work.

Disappointed…. You don’t need a main meal with every alcoholic beverage

Crescent Head is a beautiful holiday destination, which made this experience even more disappointing. We visited Sea Sea on our last day and were looking forward to a relaxed afternoon drink. At 3:15pm, I tried to order cocktails for my family of four along with a bowl of chips. I was told we could not be served alcohol unless we ordered main meals.
I understand responsible service of alcohol, but refusing drinks when I only wanted fries and not a main meal felt unreasonable, especially in the middle of the afternoon. Unfortunately, the waiter’s attitude came across as quite arrogant and inflexible, which really detracted from what should have been a lovely experience.
I’ve been to Sea Sea before and love the location, it’s absolutely beautiful but this visit was a real letdown and not how you want to end a holiday.
Why do I need to buy a main meal with every alcoholic beverage…this is not a thing. I was hoping to spend a lovely afternoon drinking your cocktails?

We really loved this very cool 70's hotel/motel. The design of the place is amazing, I loved the communal areas, the bar/restaurant area, the pool was lovely and we took out the e-bikes which was fun. Loved our room, great size, very cool design. Bed super comfy. We ate dinner here one night and food lovely too.

Absolutely fantastic stay- such a gem of a hotel. Sophisticated design, rock n’roll vibes, sexy vibes, and excellent staff service. The town is also charming and you can walk to the beach in 5 minutes. The food at the hotel is also exceptional, had a blast staying there and chatting to the bartenders too. Would return in a heartbeat!
