Recovering from renovation

Recovering from renovation of former hotel, renovated rooms are modern and well kept, breakfast is good, mainly a tourist clientele. Make sure you ask for a renovated room.

Nice room, clean and with all amenities. The gym was great. Breakfast had a wide selection of both savory and sweet. Indoor parking available for a relatively cheap price too.

Worst “Marriott” ever- possibly wait for remodel

Apparently this property is slowly being remodeled by Marriott. As a longtime Bonvoy higher level member, it was shocking to be given such a pathetic room. Unfortunately the hotel was nearly fully booked so the second room offered shared a wall with the lift, overlooking outdoor ventilation system. Impossible noise.
Accepted original room offered which was regrettable, since all night long I could hear the plumbing from nearby rooms every time someone flushed. Not thrilled after long journey.
As is, rooms were dated and depressing. Shabby looking. Cleaning staff are kind but are not trained to pay attention to details.
Management is not paying attention on many levels.
None of the staff cared about my comments. One mentioned an update had begun so there is “hope” that this will be a “proper” Marriott location at some point in the future, where they have no other option at present.
The only good thing is the recently opened restaurant which has excellent “Asian fusion” food and a terrific staff independent of the hotel.
