Arriving in Darwin at 1am is a nightmare but the hotel was fantastic in helping me settle into the room. They have a person working all night and I was grateful

Lack of lift access very disappointing

A great location within Darwin at the cheaper end of the scale (still pricey though).
Arrived to find the only lift out of order and had to climb 95 stairs with heavy bags to get to our room. Room comfortable but basic. Kitchenette did not have basic things like a potato peeler. No spare power points to charge phones etc - had to unplug microwave to get a power point.
Room service non - existent. Had to go to office on a couple of occasions for spare bin bags and toilet paper. When we were ready to leave (had a coach pickup scheduled around the corner) and found office unattended with a sign saying leave key in room!!!! Not funny when you have to climb back up 95 stairs. Why is there not a key box outside reception?????
Staff were unable to give a date when lift would be repaired. Several visitors noted to be really struggling with the stairs. No offer of reduced price for the significant inconvenience of being on one of the upper floors without lift access. Rubbish left in stairwell and along corridors.
Even had water pouring down from the balcony above one night.

The staff is very friendly and happy to help..
The accommodation is simple but clean. The kitchen is very basic in terms of equipment.
It is very affordable and well located. All in all, simple, a bit dated, but clean and fair.
