Great resort
Even tho it is attached to a casino there was never any problem with noise and you dont ever feel like you are at a casino.

Don't book in any way.
The beautiful lagoon pool was not cleaned in the 4 days when we were there.
Our room was the worst we had on our long trip to Australia. There are much better hotels in Darwin.

Worth the stay
Ask to be placed in a room well away from the main pool if you want to relax at times in your room.
Nice restaurants , good choices to choose from but being a bit out of town they are all expensive .

Beautiful resort, let down badly by service and systems
A few examples from our stay:
Upon arrival we were unable to get our second booking confirmed despite multiple attempts.
We were turned away from the bistro as a couple, told there was no room, despite numerous empty tables in plain sight.
When we went to book a table for the following evening, staff could not work the computer system and seemed completely lost. We asked for the manager, who said he would make the table booking himself. He later confirmed it had been done. When we arrived for dinner, there was no booking on record.
There was no dining room open for breakfast for guests going on early morning tours. Breakfast boxes were provided instead, with croissants that had clearly been cooked the night before and Coco Pops, but no cereal bowls or dessert spoons were left in the room. We rang housekeeping and were told they had already closed for the night. Reception could not help either. We ended up eating cereal out of a teapot with a teaspoon.
The Chinese restaurant was closed both Tuesday and Wednesday during our stay, despite this being peak season.
Room service was unreliable, and we had to chase it up ourselves, for example towels, crockery, cutlery, and tissues.
There was no compendium in the room and no simple guide to room service, housekeeping, wifi, dining times, laundry, or other basic services that you would expect as standard.
The day before we were due to leave, our room cards stopped working, meaning yet another trip to reception to sort it out.
On a positive note, a massage at the Lagoon Spa was genuinely wonderful and the highlight of the stay.
Individually some of these might be forgivable. Together, over the course of one stay, they added up to an experience that was extremely disappointing and frustrating. This property is rated as five star. On this visit, it did not come close to earning that rating. The physical resort and room quality are genuinely lovely, and the Lagoon Spa is a real credit to the resort, but the service, communication, and basic guest systems need serious attention.
