We arrived very late, and it was incredibly thoughtful of the hotel to extend our check-out time the following day. This kind gesture was greatly appreciated and made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.

A bad choice

The Novotel offers a shuttle service from the airport to the Novotel.
My flight from Brisbane arrived just after midnight and I phoned for the shuttle service.
The mini bus arrived and there were quite a few of us to get on and the driver parked well out from the curb and opened the door.
I struggled on board with my bag and then another elderly lady who had a large bag also struggled to get her bag up the stairs.
All the while the driver just sat in his seat and then a mother with a baby started up the steps and the driver moved the bus so this lady was shaken about and luckily the baby was OK but it could have been terrible.
At this point the baby’s father opened the back to load the bags. At no time did the driver assist.
When we arrived at the Ibis I asked if he was going on to the Novotel and he rudely told me this was where I get out.
The bags were unloaded by the baby’s father.
This is not acceptable behaviour for any bus driver.
My room at the Novotel was $350:00 and very basic.
I do hope this driver is investigated as there moving of the vehicle while people are getting onboard is highly dangerous.
I called to speak to the duty manager but he was busy.
I would not recommend this property.

Decent airport hotel

We just stayed here for one night, since we had an early morning flight. The hotel is simple but adequate and has a large new pool.

Nice surprise for this airport hotel.

My spirits are lifted to finally see a decent Accor group hotel, because I had been grumpy since the Mercure in Alice Springs.
Indeed, here at the Darwin airport Novotel, they did everything to be zen.
In fact, their pool is magnificent and full of jets. The bar is cool and the restaurant is nice; it's a change from airport hotels where you're happy to only stay one night.
We would gladly spend another night here, and a big advantage is that you are a 10-minute walk from the terminal; it's the best.
Furthermore, the rooms are spacious, and if you are lucky—unlike me—you get a balcony overlooking the pool.
There you go.

Hotel os convenient.. the room I was in the Novetel was airport side had the bins being emptied early, noise hard to sleep after long flight , we bought dinner from the restaurant 2 nights and both times we did a pick up we were missing food or it was not what we ordered and the staff had no idea no communication between them. Have stayed in better, great if you have children BAD if you need sleep after flights . Packet of potatoe chips $7 from reception … come on ..!!!
