Perfect place to stay in the heart of Darwin

A wonderful tropical oasis in the heart of Darwin. Walking distance to the mall and Stokes Hill Wharf / Darwin Waterfront and lots of dining options. Our bungalow was compact but perfectly formed. An added bonus was the resort swimming pool with pool side bar perfect for cooling off after a day of sightseeing. I would highly recommend Palms City Resort.

Right on noisy street

The Garden Bungalows are quite small. And the Bungalow that we were assigned to was right along a noisy busy street. Perhaps they need to consider giving discounted rates to people that are assigned to those particular bungalows.

Don’t have the breakfast!

The location and facilities are good. Breakfast was a very poor experience, so bad we asked for a refund which we were told we’d receive but haven’t had yet.

Obscenely expensive for what is basically a cheap motel building with some planting. The greenery is beautiful, of course, but rooms are unfailingly bland affairs with virtually no comforts. The room lighting uses brilliant white bulbs which is incredibly uncomfortable - I felt like I was in an operating theatre rather than a hotel room. The WiFi was poor enough for YouTube to constantly buffer on the TV - this is really not good enough considering the price charged. Also, the shower door was broken and therefore kept jamming and the light switch was dodgy which meant the light in the bathroom didn't stay on. Also, this hotel can be rather noisy - families generally thinking they own the place, kids running around as well as the Hotel Darwin blaring loud music on a Saturday night. I asked to be moved and luckily one room's guests hadn't checked in so I got a swap. Generally with hotels you get what you pay for, in this case you don't.

Best Hotel in Darwin

Best Hotel location in Darwin CBD Next to the New RSL,not to far walk to the Darwin bus interchange&The Northern Territory legislative Assembly Parliament House,the check-in staff was lovely& and pickles is very cheeky,the Rooms nice& modern I happily which recommend this place 5/5
