The hotel is old but I enjoyed our stay. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful . The place is very clean. No problem is too hard for staff to deal with. The owner is pleasant to talk with and Soo helpful

Would return
Very quiet and solid building. Withstood cyclone Tracey in 1974. Old but partly renovated. Budget accommodation. Comfortable bed. Receptionist/Cleaner was very nice.
It was windy for the time we were there and the pool only got cleaned the day before we left.

Value for money and had everything that we needed
We enjoyed out stay as the room had everything that we needed for our stay. The air conditioning worked well as it was still very hot even in early june. The rooms and bathroom decor are dated but its clean and the beds are comfortable and so it was a great place to stay at a good price. Off street car parking is good and its not far to travel by car to the main points of interest around darwin. Staff were friendly and helpful. The wifi is patchy in your room but they warn you that this is the case

QUIET! Oh, so quiet!
Firstly you need to understand, this is an older Motel. If this Motel were anywhere else in Australia, it would be advertised as a 'boutique' Motel. My point is, older does not mean neglected. In fact, these folks have done very well maintaining the property and rooms that - though those 70's ring loud, its quaint! Clean! Tidy! And QUIET! Oh, so quiet!
Noise is one of my bugbears when I travel and it was the lure of quite that sent me here - and Paravista delivered! NO traffic noise, NO noise from other rooms, NO noise from neighbouring properties, just quite.
* Rooms are sort-of updated - Beds are new and comfy, bathroom is 70's looking,
but clean and serviceable.
* There is no cooking facilities in the room, but there is a communal kitchen.
* However, the staff more than willing to give me a Microwave for the room to
compliment the Tea and Coffee making facilities.
* Aircon worked well and the balcony was a nice touch.
* I didn't use the pool, but it looked great!
We stayed First Floor, Room 7. I lost my pic of our room, but the pics of the newer beds are standard.
If I have to Motel in Darwin again, I will definitely stay here.

I had a terrible stay. It was my birthday and my birthday plans were cancelled and delayed due to lockdowns. I finally made it out of a remote community to celebrate my birthday and sadly this stay was a huge disappointment. The property is absolutely filthy. From the moment you walk in the floors are dirty with rubbish, dirt, leaves every where. The first room I was given was disgustingly the shower drain was clogged with black hair. There was hair all over the room and the floors had clearly not been cleaned. I wiped down the benches and my white cloth turned brown quickly. The bedsheets had not been changed. I called and asked for new sheets. The man was very rude and seemed very put out. He asked me to show him what I was let happy with and he told me he couldn’t see any problems. He then said this isn’t the ritz what we’re you expecting. He said he wouldn’t give me nw sheets but he would give me a new room. This room was even worse condition with the white sheets stained by what looked like blood. It was fairly late and I had birthday dinner plans and asked him for new sheets. He told me that I could go and find another place that is more to my high standards. I don’t expect much just cleanliness. He said what do u expect for $70 a night? I said I paid $120 and that I expected clean sheets at the very least. He gave me the sheets but he was a very very rude man. I would not stay here again and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone
