Lively hotel
Good size bedroom and bathroom. Fridge and complimentary tea abd coffee. Huge balcony.
Stayed two nights Saturday and Sunday. Very noisey the hotel has very lively bars with great music.
Easy walk to beach and tourist attractions.
No option of breakfast at hotel but plenty of places close by.
We enjoyed our stay and slept well. Things that would have made it even better… cleaning of communal areas during opening hours, by the end of the evening the walk back to the room was a bit grim. Some comfortable furniture on balcony.

A little piece of calm in the middle of all the action.

Great historical hotel
It can be quite noisy at night as the pub has live music but we liked that. Being right on the high street you also have to expect noisy revellers walking home after a night in the pub. But we absolutely loved our stay here, the hostess was such a nice person and really made us feel welcome.
Parking is in a multi storey about a 5 minute walk away and costs about $20 AUS a day, or £10. I was lucky, I managed to find us a parking spot close to the hotel when we checked in. However, it wasn’t a problem taking our luggage to the car park when we checked out.
The hotel is only a 10-15 minute walk to the Rottnest ferries, so perfect if you’re planning on visiting the island.
The National hotel is a great place to stay in Fremantle and the staff are so helpful and friendly. If you’re staying in Fremantle and want to experience an authentic, historical hotel, I’d put The National at the top of your list. Thank you to everyone for a great stay.
