Beautiful Views and Bad Service

I had really high hopes for this hotel as it was my family's first vacation (since my son was born) so we really wanted to make it special.
The location was great and the views were beautiful, however, that's where it stops.
On arrival we were greeted by an empty reception desk, which we found out as our stay went on that this was normal for this hotel. The desk was constantly unattended, with a phone number displayed to call if you needed anything. However, when we called this number, it constantly went unanswered
Luckily, when we arrived one of the permanent residents happened to be passing through so she tracked down the manager for us.
His rudeness was apparent from the first encounter. He was more worried about yelling at us for parking in the "visitor parking" than checking us in.
When we finally got up to our rooms the cleanliness was atrocious. The carpet was filthy, there was food under the couch cushions, mould in the air conditioner and I even discovered a USED diabetic patch in my bedroom
The room was not serviced daily (which we knew) however, it did state that it would be serviced if our stay was longer than 7 days. As we were staying for 9 days we were entitled to this service. We got to day 7 of our stay, our towels were dirty and our bedding was gross. As the desk was NEVER attended we tried calling the "contact number" instead..which went unanswered..again.
We decided to text the number, just to find out when our room was getting cleaned, to which we received a ONE WORE response (as if we were bothering him or he was a moody teenager).
We returned that day to clean beds but that was where the "room service" ended.
The rooms were dated, and sea air has really taken its toll on this poor old building
With a modern make over and some decent cleaning this hotel could be lovely
However, expect nothing but rudeness and rule enforcement from the manager...if you even get to meet him at all, that is.

Good location but not relaxing due to Resort rules

The Location was perfect. Beds were comfortable and the facilities were well maintained. A bit pricy for the type accommodation you pay for!
Only bad thing was the excess number to rules. Rules like, you have to dry off before you get out of the outdoor spa!
Guests could not park in the front carpark at all though sign at the park said to “not park overnight”.
If you are a family with kids, you feel like you will walking around on egg shells! Better to look for a place where you can relax and not worry that you will be breaking rules!!

Awesome family apartment Burleigh Beach!

Wonderful 5 days at Burleigh at Indigo Blue - 3 bedroom apartment!
Great accommodation and views were magical on the 8th floor.
Outdoor area was great with tennis, basketball hoop, spa (hot) for winter - and BBQ area for dinner one night had everything including outdoor fridge.
Walk across the road to beach easy walk on esplanade to eateries & son could roller skate out front.
Will definitely be back plenty of room for family!
