SCAM WARNING: False Photographs, Misleading Advertisement and Unhygienic Apartment
The Illusion vs. The Reality
If you are considering booking a 3-bedroom skyhome at this property, be explicitly aware that their online marketing is a complete misrepresentation. We recently booked a four-night stay based on the modern, sleek, and immaculately kept imagery presented on their listing.
Do not be fooled by these glossy corporate photos. The styling, furnishings, and overall quality depicted online bear absolutely zero resemblance to the reality of what you receive. Instead of a premium luxury experience, we were handed the keys to an old, outdated, and neglected apartment that looked and felt like budget accommodation. Frankly, the quality provided was on par with a property that should cost <$200 a night, not the exorbitant premium rates Peppers charges for a "skyhome."
Apartment 3305: Deplorable and Unhygienic
We were initially placed in apartment 3305. The condition of this unit was deplorable and entirely unfit for a supposedly high-end hospitality brand. During our stay, we experienced the following unacceptable conditions:
* **Outdated & Dilapidated Equipment:** The furniture throughout the apartment was severely worn, visibly aged, and actively rusting.
* **Unhygienic Furnishings:** The couch and dining chairs were covered in ingrained, black dirt stains.
* **Neglected Interiors:** The carpets were marred with extensive, unsightly staining, and the curtains were visibly mouldy.
The Deceptive Business Model Exposed
When we escalated our complaints, we uncovered the core issue: a highly deceptive business model that was openly confirmed to us by property staff and maintenance personnel.
Peppers Broadbeach operates effectively as a corporate facade for a disparate collection of privately owned apartments. Staff revealed that while these private owners are generating upwards of $70,000 annually from these rentals, there is zero incentive, mandate, or enforcement from Peppers to ensure owners reinvest in the upkeep of their units. Maintenance personnel specifically noted that many of these apartments are fundamentally ill-maintained because owners simply refuse to put money back into them.
Consequently, every apartment layout, style, and condition varies wildly. This is a critical and highly relevant fact completely omitted from their sales listings. Peppers sells the illusion of a standardized, modern resort, but you are essentially paying premium hotel rates to play Russian roulette with neglected investment properties.
The Relocation Was No Better
After formally complaining about the unacceptable state of apartment 3305, we were relocated to a different unit for the final two nights of our four-night stay. While marginally better than the initial apartment, the second unit still fell entirely short of standard hospitality expectations. The couches in the new unit were also heavily stained and dirty, and the clothes dryer did not work at all.
Final Verdict
You are paying premium luxury rates for unmaintained, outdated, privately-owned properties that lack basic hygiene and operational standards. Consider this a strong warning to look elsewhere and save your money.

Great customer service at Reception, and I was able to continue using the facilities once I’d checked out until I needed to leave for my flight.
Room was clean and spacious and everything was really comfortable. Can’t wait to come back!
