A complete lack of consistency in apartment standards and furnishings, outdoor areas look old & not fit for purpose
We first visited in 2016 and had a beautiful 2 bed apartment on the 11th floor facing the sea with leather sofas and exceptionally comfortable beds with immaculate bedding. Out visit last year was very disappointing as we were forced into the Tower 2 complex due to the bad storms and the other building being unavailable after the lifts failed. We only found out we had been moved on the day we were traveling from NZ and had zero option to change anything. We had to pretend it was all fine as we didn’t want to upset my elderly Mum because this was her trip of a lifetime to Australia before she flew back to London. The apartment we were put into was on the corner with a side/sea view. The balcony was poky and nothing like the massive ones you get in the other building. The bed in the master bedroom was absolutely beyond hope, the mattress was collapsed and should have been replaced a long time ago. We complained and were told it would be dealt with, which was a lie as we never heard anything further so Mum swapped with us and we went in her room. The lounge area had a hideous tiny cheap & uncomfortable sofa (worse than IKEA) and a little dining table with barely enough seating for 3 let alone 4 people.
Our overall impression was that there is no consistency, the staff don’t care and apartment owners are not being held to account and made to replace worn out beds/furniture nor any requirement to provide furnishings of a minimum standard appropriate to the prices they are charging. We felt ripped off and should have been refunded the difference between what we paid for and what we ended up with but nothing was ever offered, not even an apology.
The photos don’t show the tired apartments so make sure you ask them for a specific room number when booking, otherwise it can be a very expensive hit and miss if you’re unlucky to get one of the inferior ones.

Stellar position but starting to look very tired
Brilliant location with absolutely stellar ocean views.
Right amongst a heap of eating and drinking venues.
Sadly maintenance here appears non existent with broken furniture, loose fittings and dirty bed valances, walls mirrors etc.
Such a pity as these are perfectly placed apartments.

Wonderful visit
My husband and I had a wonderful few days stay at Reflections on the Sea. We stayed in unit 703 which has recently been upgraded and having stayed here before (we usually like to request the same unit) it looks so much fresher. The unit has all that you need for a comfortable stay, fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer in the laundry cupboard and 2 en-suite bedrooms. It’s conveniently located right across from the beach and easy walking distance to restaurants. It’s an easy, flat 15 minute flat walk to Siblings, a lovely restaurant at Kirra and Franc Jr’s pizza is 5 minutes down the road in Griffith Street which has the best pizza in town.
