Amazing location steps from the beach and a short walk to the main shops and restaurants. Bus stops right out on the street for those not wanting to walk to places.
My only disappointment was the shower was very low flow and the temperature was a bit challenging to get right.
This might be just the suite I stayed in and otherwise it was a great stay.

Bad experience

The advertised photos do not represent the actual state of the property. The pool was filthy (a health hazard) green, murky, covered in dirt and many types of bugs. I could not allow my child to use it. Loud and messy renovations were going on by the pool rooms which we were not made aware of. There was only one staff member on the property who was very young, inexperienced and lacked customer service skills. Not worth the price unfortunately!

Fabulous 3 bedroom apartment right on the beach!

We stayed in the 3 bedroom penthouse which had fabulous views overlooking the beach. The bedrooms were well appointed and the beds comfortable. The kitchen lacked a few basic necessities including salt and pepper but we made do.
The main bathroom was huge and includes a large bath plus double rain shower and double sinks.
Unfortunately the sliding balcony door was very difficult to open, not so much of an issue in the cooler weather but this would be an inconvenience in summer months.
Great for a family stay.

Cutesy, cozy beach side motel

Okay I honestly don’t know why these reviews are so bad?? If you’re that picky, stay at a suave hotel. This is exactly what it is advertised to be! A renovated motel with a quirky vibe. We’ve had a minor issue of fan but nothing that can’t be fixed by turning on the aircon! Mum and I have stayed twice now and sure it’s not perfect but we still love it!
It’s cozy, it’s cute and access directly to the beach at the front! Aircon/heater works great, didn’t have any issues with the beds and pool is nice and clean (a magnesium pool). We’ve stayed in one of the rooms up the top near the pool with a kitchen and also one of the beach front rooms. Love being able to text reception for service, extra teas bags, queries etc. Happy hour (4-6 daily) drinks and pizza on site and bike hire is also a nice addition!
The noise of the planes didn’t bother me at all, personally. They do supply earplugs if that is an issue.
Based off the rooms we’ve had and the location, I think the price is great. Like I said it’s not a fancy hotel but you’re paying for the location!

We really liked the location of Tessas on the Beach. We liked that we could use available bikes and ride on the path in both directions. Marta was very helpful with our late arrival and other information. Wi fi worked well. The rooms were a bit small but functional. I requested a balcony view and I thought it came with an ocean view but it did not. It was in a court type yard where a pool was across the way. Parking was available and we were happy with that. We also used some lounge chair in the front beach side of the property.
