Oldie but a goodie.

Arriving on Boxing Day a little before check in time meant we had time to explore the area. We couldn’t believe how close we were to the river and the Gunsynd monument. After checking in to our spacious room, we walked to the river and did the walk along the levee bank. The proximity to the heart of Goondiwindi would be a bonus for visitors.

Diabolic Traffic Noise

We had booked a Queen room and were given a Family room with a queen bed and two singles. The room we had booked had space for a seating area, the family room hadn't. It was crammed full of beds, which was not very appealing. There was nowhere decent to sit except for a couple of uncomfortable chairs. Everything else was fine EXCEPT for the diabolic traffic noise. Not only had we been given a room we hadn't booked, we were given a room right on the corner of two main streets. There was not that much traffic throughout the night, but from 4 am onwards there was an almost constant stream of cars and heavy vehicles of one sort or another. Later on these were joined by street sweeper trucks which were running past several times. A nightmare! Since getting a good night's sleep is the main purpose of staying in any kind of accommodation I cannot rate the Gunsynd Motel highly, regardless of its other advantages. I wouldn't dream of staying here again.

Friendly staff, helpful at reception, quiet room , quiet motel no car park noise, very clean well fitted out, kettle, toaster, hot showers close to restaurants great parking, will definitely stay here again and happy to tell other of this motel,

Not Gunsynd best race but close.

A basic one room hotel with bathroom of course. Has everything you need for a overnight stay though. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and it is walking distance like 50m to main St. It was clean except for carpet and stains seen. The down was maybe too close to town. Having trouble sleeping I kept hubby awake as there was not another room to flee to. After sleep eventually came, we were then woken in the middle of the night by a drunk on the street. Our neighbours in the room next door then woke us at 4 in the morning having a shower. Friendly staff and parking for ground level units though.

Nice, clean & close to amenities

After a long ride, it was great to be able to end the day right in the middle of town. The room was large, clean & well appointed. A nice little touch was a power cube to recharge the phone etc.
The bathroom was spacious & the shower had a nice multifunction head with lots of hit water.
Highly recommended.
