Highly recommended this motel

staying at the Central motel an we love staying at the Central motel the staff is friendly kind outgoing I just love it here peace and quiet the place is great I'll be coming back for sure thanks guys. Great value for money and the rooms are always clean and the staff are so helpful to the point they go out of there to help and make sure your stay is comfortable

Do not recommend.

Don’t stay here. They don’t clean the sheets, drawers etc. has cracked windows, patched up holes in walls. Disgusting & abusive behaviour from management and extremely unprofessional. Do not recommend. They aren’t even compliant with the smoke alarms.

Avoid: poor hygiene and amateur repairs

This motel is dated and very run down. Check in was complicated by the office being unmanned by someone able to check in customers, despite being well within office hours. It is immediately apparent that incomplete and unsafe DIY attempts at repairs and ‘improvements’ have been attempted. E.g. A newish vanity with a glass top and sharp corners has been installed that more than half way obscures entry into the shower. To get into the shower you had to turn sideways and carefully avoid the glass corner of the vanity. Anyone with mobility challenges is unlikely to be able to use the shower. The shower head leaked from the base of the shower head, which worsened the lack of water pressure. The room smelled awful and upon check in - the toilet had not been flushed let alone cleaned from previous occupants.

worst motel ever

OMG This is the worst motel i have ever stayed at, the photo's on line are not what the actual rooms look like so must be very old photo's, the wired glass next to the bed were totally cracked, stains on the walls, the bed covers were stained, the bathroom cabinet is water damaged and looked swollen and disgusting, patch jobs on ceiling and walls that were not finished, the Fire Alarm in the room was missing and only the bracket was there, this is a serious breach regarding safety, the hand soap dispensers broken and dont work, shower curtain rails rusted
seriously maintenance and up grades needs to take place to bring this motel back to code, there seems to be permanent lettings on site, empty wine bottles left in walk way, the walkway carpets have large wear holes everywhere and is a trip hazard,
disgusted that they charged $141 a night for a single room that is not up to standard and putting their guest at risk by not adhering to the required standards
i cant believe the reviews stating how good the motel is, this is not correct and i got duded as we believed these reviews DO NOT TRUST THESE

Awesome locally owned business

Exceptional service, comfy setting, awesome shower with hot hot hot water (❤️) and central location to city centre with most things within walking distance.
Parking is easy, and managers are kind to out of towners.
Family owned and managed local business also have an easygoing pub with barstools and a bar (and a smoking section) just down the road. DO recommend, I'll be back ^.^
