Family Time at the Beach

We had a great time at Kioloa Cabins. Outdoor toilets and communal shower block are fine. But remember to bring your mosquito coils and linen! Might be worthwhile bringing a queen size blow up mattress too... and your own pillows but all in all an unbeatable family holiday location. UNBEATABLE. Lorna and Ken are great hosts. We feel very lucky to have experienced Kioloa cabins!

Cranky owner soured our experience

What a great start to our Easter family break. The owner greeted us with an angry "No dogs allowed." We had specifically booked these cabins because dogs WERE allowed but apparently she'd changed the policy since we booked and had not communicated that to us. The first night we froze because there was no doona. When I asked her about it the next day, she reluctantly gave us a couple of skanky blankets. It's a great location, lovely and quiet with little paths to the beach and a fantastic cafe just around the corner - Saltwood. But the quality of rooms varies heaps - some with outdoor toilets, most with no showers. No hot water in our cabin and the water is all tank so I highly recommend taking your own to drink. If you don't have pets, and you're not greeted by a scowling owner, then it might be fine!

Fantastic location - the perfect spot for a quiet and relaxing break

I stayed 5 nights, out-of-season so it was just me and the kangaroos. The cabin (No.6 fact fans!) was ideal - fully appointed kitchen, 2 bedrooms and the verandah. It's basic but everything I needed.
The beach is just a couple of minutes walk away - and what a beach! There's plenty to do in the area, local beaches - Merry, Pretty, Depot, Durras and more are all stunning, and the areas national parks are great for walks.
All in all I had a wonderful relaxing time - hopefully I'll be back soon

Kiola Beach, a little gem on south coast

We had one night in one of the Kioloa Beach Holiday cabins, and really enjoyed our brief stay there. As we were attending an afternoon wedding, the early check-in to the cabin was very much appreciated.
For a couple the cabin was more than adequate. Clean, all linen provided, new kitchen utensils, quiet fridge, good bed, hot shower, and kangaroos hopping around outside, with a store across the road selling great coffee in the morning.
A short stroll to a beautiful protected beach.
We would have liked to have stayed for a week there, maybe next time we will...

Loved our stay there!

We stayed for three nights with our two children (2 and 3 years old) and we had an amazing time there. Our cabin was perfect for our purposes. The kids loved to see kangaroos every day and the nature around Kioloa is stunning: beautiful beaches, lots of bushwalking opportunities and a peaceful place to just relax. Will definitely come back.
