Absolutely divine! Blissful spot! Staff were lovely, room was perfect, the pool and surroundings were wonderful but the highlight was mother nature!

Lovely rainforest location! Comfortable rooms and good kitchen facilities. Loved walking in the forest and observing the animals during the nightly feeding. I will note that the shower was frequently cold in the evenings and very low pressure.

Rainforest Cabin with Wildlife viewing

We stayed two nights in early May. This hotel was relatively inexpensive and did not have AC so I was a little concerned it would be a roughing it type experience. I was so impressed with our one bedroom apartment! It was clean and cool even without AC. Elevated off the ground on a second floor with a balcony and the birds really did come and eat fruit off the balcony railings in the morning. The room had a dehumidifier which worked quite well. There were 3 of us in this place and we had a lot of space, two rooms and a full kitchen. It was very comfortable and quiet except for the noise of the rain on the roof. They even did a load of laundry for us which was very convenient. There are walking trails to Lake Eacham and we loved the viewing platform where you could sit in the evening and watch for wildlife. We saw Sugar gliders and a possum. We thought it would be a lot of mosquitos but did not notice any. It was very quiet and pleasant. The lodge had coffee. The room itself had instant coffee and tea and pots and pans but no coffeemaker so it was vital that the lodge had one. This was a great location for exploring the waterfalls in the area. We also did the trail around the lake which was muddy, as we were there on two rainy days. WE tried the pool at the lodge and that was great also. It was a quiet place with pleasant fellow guests at the viewing platform. It was nice to be able to cook. WE also went to the Yungaburra hotel to eat, which was recommended by the Hotel owners, and this was a great recommendation.

Great Room, Great service & Awesome Facilities

Great experience as well as stay! Great location for exploring the rainforest, lakes and waterfalls in surrounding areas. A little tricky to find/sort dinner if you arrive a little late so bring supplies.
Great value stay for what you get for your money. Room was really big with a lounge area and fully equipped kitchen. Super clean and all the things you may need for a longer stay too. Bed was comfy, crisp sheets and was so nice to wake up to the rainforest right at the window.
Heated pool and beautiful decking area you can use while being right in the middle of the rainforest. So peaceful & tranquil with all the bird songs. Best facility was however, the nocturnal viewing platform - saw so many possums, gliders and bandicoots that you wouldn't usually see during the day. Its a great addition to the property.
Great service too - shout out to the guy on the desk at 10am on 27.08 - he was a multi-tasker extraordinaire. A non-guest chatting his ear off about birds, he knew all the answers and was super polite considering he wasn't staying there, all the while processing my payment a few times and checking another guest in. He was every bit professional, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Gold star!
