Comfortable and peaceful
We found Beachcomber to be comfortable accommodation in peaceful surroundings close to Ned's beach. We had Unit, No 1, which seemed to be the best as it was at the end of the row, and had windows in all the rooms. There is no longer any bar or restaurant on site since covid, however, Paul the caretaker, takes you to any restaurant you wish, can make bookings as well, and they run you home. It is a walk into 'town' down a hill (and a uphill walk back) . Paul also picked us up and returned us to airport, with a quick tour of the Island. We chose to walk everywhere rather than bike, including a few of the great hikes. Beachcomber had a comfortable bed, and basic kitchen, with microwave, plug in hotplate, and large electric frypan. Barbecue is available. The walls are thin, and the water pressure variable. Screens mostly keep out any mossies,be vigilant with door screen. Beach towels are provided. No mobile reception anywhere on the Island, but free WiFi at Beachcomber. Paul is very friendly and approachable - so just ask if you need anything.

Lovely accomodation on beautiful Lord Howe Island
A lovely place to stay on beautiful Lord Howe Island. We stayed in Apartment 3 with a small living area, bedroom, basic kitchen and a verandah overlooking lovely gardens. Very comfortable and a short walk down the hill to the lagoon or Neds Beach. Paul the manager was great. Picked us up at the airport, gave us a quick tour of the island and drove us to dinner each night (the restaurants take you back! ). Lord Howe is the trip of a lifetime and staying at Beachcomber was an affordable and enjoyable part of the experience.

Comfortable and relaxing accommodation in beautiful grounds
Lovely low-key accommodation in a beautiful garden setting. The rooms are modern and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. The small number of rooms at the lodge added to the calm and relaxed feel. Our host Paul was so friendly and helpful, meeting us at the airport and providing us with a tour of the island and taking us to various locations for dinner each evening. The lodge is a little further out from the town, but we hired bikes for our stay which made getting around easy.

Comfortable Stay with Amazing Hospitality!
I recently stayed at the Beachcomber Lodge on Lord Howe Island and it was fantastic. The rooms were nice and simple, just right for a relaxing island vacation. Everything was clean and I had everything I needed. The location was also great, nestled close to the beautiful and secluded Ned's Beach, offering quick access to a tranquil spot for relaxation or a quick swim.
But what really made my stay special was Gary, the owner of the lodge. He picked me up from the airport, gave me a tour, and was always there to help out. The hospitality offered by Gary and his family was very welcoming. The main stores are just a short walk away from the lodge, but you might find a rental bike handy to explore the island more widely. Beachcomber Lodge is a great place to stay!

Don't bother
Too old - on top of a steep hill. Don't waste your money. Also outdated for the prices charged. The Island is nice - just alot of price inflation on accommodation. If you get stuck there !!! Hello Capella!
