Good Sleep
The Cool Palms is a budget option that has all you need. Slept very well in comfy bed in a cool air conditioned room. The pool looked very inviting but unfortunately as a passing through traveller did not get the opportunity to go beyond dipping our feet.
The location is convenient and even though on the main hwy, did not notice excessive road noise…. We did leave early in the morning though.
Best of all it is right between 2 pubs with great meals. We walked (17 min) to The Austral for a steak.

Experience insomnia for cheap.
if you've ever wanted to know what it's like to be deprived of sleep, this is your bag. I could hear my neighbour snoring rhythmically through the wall, randomly punctuated by semi-trailers passing on the main road 10 metres from my door. The bathroom has those shower curtains that reach out and grab you like Casper's creepy uncle. There are no power outlets near the bed and there were stains on the blanket covers.
The lady at check-in was nice though.

A Great Stay as Usual.
Our stays at Cool Palms are always enjoyable. We stay in a room with the kitchenette and these rooms are extremely well stocked and well maintained. The rooms are always spotless. Good undercover parking. The rooms, especially the ones along the back, are very quiet and private. The owners are very pleasant, very professional and ensure you enjoy your stay. The pricing is really good value and there are a variety of rooms to suit different needs.
Been staying at Cool Palms for many years and the high standard is always maintained.

Was ok
Was not to bad great for the price was clean and tidy very friendly staff bed was very firm was close to road but still got a goods nights sleep so not to bad air cond was good would stay here again when here again

Not impressed
When we arrived we were greated by the owners very nicely.
But the room was a different story:
The room had no plates nor cuttlery, you could not even wash you dishes we brought our self.
The shower did not have running hot water only warm and it only dribbled out of the shower head, no strong stream.
The walls were very thin, so you could hear the next room, especially the snorring.
We only stayed for one night, and that was enough.
