Clean and comfortable

It’s not new but it’s clean and comfortable. It’s well located and the hosts are very friendly and welcoming. They were also helpful in pointing out the local restaurants etc. in fact you can walk from the motel into the adjacent Chinese restaurant, which we did.

Always comfortable and accommodating.

Comfortable budget room. Has everything you need including cutlery, bowls and microwave if,like me,you are happy just to get takeaway.
Very good Chinese restaurant next door, but also within walking distance to many restaurants. Walking distance to Mackay entertainment centre if you are going to see a show. Hosts always greet me with a smile and are up for a chat. Sometimes, as with any motel, people are inconsiderate and talk outside late at night or early morning. I am pleased to note if anyone gets too out of control management are “right on to it” which in my opinion is great. Always feel safe staying here. All in all a good comfortable budget stay that I will keep returning to.

Rude

Forget this motel. I stay in motels 3 nights a week and never had such a rude experience in 20 years on the road. Yes there may have been a mix up with the booking but if you had of given me a chance to talk I would have given you a card over the phone. Plenty of other places to stay that are far more helpful.

Don't stay here

Al is the rudest human being I've ever dealt with.
Place is dirty tv was broken, asked for quiet room and treated like I was asking them for money. Owner went to kick me out for no reason at all. Just a horrible man.
Owners only interested in money. Smoke coming through the room even in the bathroom. Put next to a man who was playing with his car at 11pm. Asked for a quiet room and was treated like absolute crap after the worst week of staying in drug infested motels.
Do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere.

Definitely a great place to stay

We arrived very late one night and as advised when booking we were messaged with the details for a late check-in which went well. The room was good and the next morning I went to the Office to let them know we had arrived and the lady (Gail I think) offered us umbrellas as we were attending a funeral and rain was predicted. That evening, a Friday, I took the breakfast menu to the Office and the man (sorry I forget his name) was surprised I had a menu as they only deliver breakfast Monday to Friday. I apologised and said it was okay but he insisted he take the order and deliver it to us Saturday morning. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast and were very grateful and apologetic. When we arrived home our daughter discovered she had left a very old, well worn teddy bear behind. She rang the motel and it was there so we had our son collect it. In the mean time we received a lovely message with photos of Ted on the computer, doing sign ins and cuddles with the Owner These 2 lovely people definitely go far and beyond with hospitality. The motel although older is very clean, comfortable beds, good bathroom, in a good location and the hosts really make you feel so welcome. We would definitely stay here again.
