Reef resort hotel - excellent service

I recommend this motel for its service. It’s convenient and the ease of getting into and out of the place with double entrances. What a valuable place to have in your repertoire while you travel. Thank you manny for your hospitality. I will stay again.

Excellent place to stay in Mackay

The motel is situated in a convenient place. Beautiful garden. Shaded car parking just in front of the room. Importantly the staff was welcoming and accommodating right from the moment we checked in. The room was clean.

On CTM looking to book don’t bother

This motel needs to be removed from CTM bookings.
No overnight staff on duty no room security and generally felt uncomfortable both inside& outside the room.
No restaurant and not even a coffee machine
No working hair dryer- it has a US. Plug

Horrible Place - Better Motels Nearby.

What a Horrible Place! From the time you book in and enter your room, it sends shudders down your spine as you are entering the 1990's. The place is so old and run down it's not funny. I used to stay here in the late 90's and found it warm, comfortable and clean, but nothing could be more further from reality. Nothing has been spent of this property since then or that's what it looks like. Restaurant closed due to covid? Thought Covid issues stopped 12-18 mths ago. Advertised Breakfast, no such luck. Owner advised to go across the road to pub. Rooms - Oh dear! I really don't know what to say other than Keep Clear! Couldn't even have a coffee as they didn't supply any milk, tried calling reception and visited reception, but doesn't open until 10am!!! The towels supplied also looked like they were used since the 90's as they were thin, rough on your skin and scraggly. These was even a wet towel left behind the door. Shower only had enough pressue to trickle out & when someone else turned their water off, you only got extra hot water not pressure. Great when your rinsing your hair & water turns hot. Soap holder broken off and laying on shower floor. I now understand why most other Motels along this strip were booked out & this one had plenty of vacancies. Never Again! Only reasonable point, the bed was comfortable.
