So much potential

This lovely old home has lots of charm and potential to be delightful. Unfortunately, it does not quite meet the mark. The hosts are pleasant enough, polite and accommodating. The rooms are in need of some TLC with cleaning at the top of the list. The thick layers of dust are not appealing. The rooms need decorating and painting amongst other upgrades. The spa, is nothing special and being told you can only use it once is not our idea of acceptable. The wood supply for the open fire ( we stayed in Autumn) was minimal and barely enough to keep the area warm. One of the challenges of staying in this BnB is that the owners share the residence and had a family party during our stay, which was quite noisy. The host’s tv was also on quite loudly during the evening and did not add to a relaxing evening atmosphere for guests.
The breakfast supplies were delightful and well presented. It is unfortunate that our own tea supplies, which we accidentally left behind, have still not been returned to us.
We cannot imagine staying here with other guests, it would be very cramped and noisy.

Homely, Inviting, Amazing Charm!

A not to be missed destination. I can't express how amazing this B&B is. From entering the architectural designed home to being greeted by Andrew and Amanda, the hosts, you will not be disappointed. The comfort of the rooms, the ingredients for your make your own breakfast, you will be blessed with everything covered. Thank you for everything, you are amazing

Very relaxing stay

Very comfortable stay. Came here for our 30th anniversary, both Amanda and Andrew are very friendly and made sure we had relaxing stay. Comfy bed, good size room and ensuite. Andrew got the open fire going and we spent the evening sitting in front of the fire. House is well furnished with antiques, loved sitting in the Chesterfield lounge and just looking up at the high ceiling and the amazing plaster work. Amanda had a breakfast basket ready early in the morning which was more than ample. Great stay, would love to head back again.

Charming

On first arrival, it looks like a modest cottage, but the door opens to a grand residence with some wonderfully historic features, which the owners are very happy to talk about. Our beds were comfy, it was walking distance to a dinner restaurant, and our breakfast supplies were fresh and delicious. There is a delightful English garden to meander in also. Just a charming stay!

A perfect choice in Maldon

A delightful heritage building with a sunny verandah to read the papers. Spacious bedroom with comfy bed & quality bedding. A delicious breakfast basket with local goodies and hosts who go that bit extra to make you feel at home.
