There was no reception when I arrived at 5pm, it was all virtual. Their automated check-in system so I had to call their hotline number and email my license ID to their staff. No advice over my ID retention within their system and nor the fact it was sent in an insecure email form. It took me well over an hour to check-in. Payment was via a link for funds that was emailed to me while I was sitting in their empty reception.
The room itself was dated and smelt like a hospital when I walked in. At least it was clean which was nice.
It was a little cheaper than other places nearly, however the check-in experience absolutely turned me off. Not staying here again sorry!

Revolting dump

Revolting dirty dump, worse than a youth hostel . Stay anywhere but here. Sticky floors old dumpster furniture plastic drinking cups, dirty appliances yuck yuck yuck

Beware! The location is not worth it.

The journey through the building to our room was unpleasant; dirty and damaged. Thankfully, the room was better, although the kitchen floor was sticky, the carpet had visible debris and the glass tabletop was grubby. There’s scant utensils and equipment in the kitchen so don’t expect to self cater without first taking stock. The mattresses and pillows are ok but room temperature is not a choice. There’s no way to control the heating/cooling. Housekeeping was too difficult for staff even after asking for a fresh toilet brush (the current one was overly contaminated) and vacuumed floors. Neither request was acknowledged. I had to request new face washers and for bins to be emptied. We stayed three days. Perhaps the biggest bug bear was the absence of reception staff. After waiting 25 mins for staff to arrive at the property and then ignored until I requested attention, I was met with attitude and dialogue that was offensive and fell well short of basic expectation for any reception staff. I’m left with feelings of regret for actually paying to stay at this property and will never return. The people who were also waiting for reception to arrive felt the same. I recommend any prospective guest to reconsider prior to booking. Pay a bit more for a better experience. I write this whilst sitting in the lounge room, wearing a puffer jacket for warmth.

Hotel has no proper signage so easy to walk past. Arrive after 10 pm off a flight and reception not staffed. Call after hours number and guy answers phone in another language. To get into place he needs my credit card for security deposit of $100 which is pathetic for what the place is. I object to having to give credit number out from street citing security concerns and that I was not told there would be such a requirement.
After giving over of details they give me a PIN number to get into the building. It takes a few attempts as it does not work properly. Then inside given instructions to open a box to get access card. This takes 10 attempts and the female phone operator who had no idea did not give me proper instructions and the man gave me better instructions to clear previous entries. After the longest and most pathetic check in to a hotel I ever had I finally get into building.
Room is very spacious and more like a small apartment although dated. TV very small for size of. White tiles in bathroom and in passageway need to be careful with as could slip causing injury or permanent damage to oneself.
In morning I was planning to leave suitcase with reception before having a walk around city. Reception just after 9am was not staffed so not possible. This place is not staffed properly and I feel it is more for people who want to stay longer in Melbourne like overseas students and it should not be on Expedia or Hotels.com for visitors and tourists.

DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL - WILL CANCEL YOUR BOOKING AT LAST MINUTE!

DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL! I booked this room months ago and now they have cancelled it on me the day before I was due to arrive in Melbourne. I could clearly see my exact same room still available at a higher price now. They cancel so they can sell it for more money when something big is on in the city. This is the second time they have cancelled my booking at the last minute-they did it when the rugby was on too. Now I have to pay more for another hotel on the same night because it's now in demand and I only have a day to book it. They have ruined my plans and cost me money. They said they had bed bugs in the room I booked. I will NEVER use this hotel again.
