Bad Bed & Breakfast
On entering you’re overwhelmed by unpleasant smell like old toilets with a strong musky odour. We happily opened the door as the window was already opened. No improvement for two night visit.
Worn out linen on old bed which isnt the one in pictures .
Misrepresenting offering as a bed and breakfast (with b n b pricing) given they provide bread etc to do it yourself and clean up without a dishwasher.
In room amenities terrible to the point of it bring funny if we hadn’t paid $500. for this! Analogue TV. A small selection of old DVDs. Not cult movies, just old. No wardrobe. Outdoor table not in a garden property etc but rather cramped up in a dark squashed spot at gate and stairs.
Capped off with noisy traffic on Saturday evening.
Wow is this for real?
Location good but better advertised as 2 star motel for much less.

Black mould. Unhighgenic and bad service. Not worth it.
I developed a bad headache shortly after checking in due to the strong musty/mouldy smell. It wasn't until two hours after checking in I noticed mould growing on the floor boards so I decided to check out for health reasons and because the smell was overwhelming even after I tried to ventilate the room. My experience was made so much worse because of the hostest and I hope I can forget this situation soon. She texted me endlessly after I checked out almost verging on harrassment and refused to refund any of the payment. I tried to give constructive criticism and told her the issues so she could rectify them but she became hostile, overly proud and accused me of insulting her rather than taking advice and acknowledging the problems. I'm not the first to mention the problems to her. The place is unhighgenic. The style is amazing but the furniture smells like it's rotting.
There was hair all over the bathroom floor, the carpet hadn't been vacuumed, the bed linen smelled incredibly old. Their were two packets of cheap rice crackers on the bench, a block of camembert cheese and an open vase of milk in an old fridge. At the price they're charging it's not worth it. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else.
As well as that, the bnb is located right next to two busy intersections with loud engines passing through. It's situated on a hill so all the noise travels into the bnb. I couldn't hear any nature over the sound of heavy traffic. It was like being in an old house next to a highway.

Golden Elm room, just nice for two
Puffing Billy, which we had a booking for on the Rythum & Blues train that night.
Noisy during the day if you needed a rest prior to going out and little bit during the night.
We think this was from the upstairs residence as we heard very little if anything from the accomodation next door.
Gas log fire keeps room very warm, also has split system, great for those chilly nights.
The Golden Elm room is small but nice, I would recommend only two stay but ok if a child uses available rollaway, to small for three adults, very nice breakfast provided and hospitality was great, thank you Diane
Now for the down side, The Bed was terrible or the mattress was anyway, defiantly needs replacing, wasn't a four posted bed as shown in the websites photograph.
I would recommend this accomodation to others and my wife and I would stay again.
Excellent location
