Bed Bugs bite here! Disappointing :(

I have just stayed 2 nights at the Manhattan Motel in Ringwood, Victoria. Unfortunately both nights I was bitten by bed bugs! Very disappointing.

Perfect location , clean and welcoming. Not for the elderly due to,stairs.

The staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. You felt like you were family.
The rooms were upstairs and quite secure, my only complaint is the stairs, of which there are a few, which meant carting luggage up and down the stairs. Probably not really suitable for older people,or,people with bad knees.
The rooms were clean and modern , the freeway was 1 minute away and you couldn’t hear any noise.
Buffet was yummy.
Would definitely recommend for short term stays.
Thanks guys enjoyed our time there.

They highlight the pillowtop beds cause that's the only good thing

Booked online and stated must be ground floor room. When i arrived to book in was informed that they don't have ground floor rooms or a lift. I have mobility issues so climbing the stairs was hard especially as there is no proper hand rail for most of the way up. When you get to the top of the stairs there is a door but it opens back onto the stairs meaning you are pushed off the ledge and onto the stairs again. There was also broken bottles on the stairs. The room boasts a rainfall shower but the pressure isn't strong enough to give the big shower head enough water and it was also spraying everywhere. The bathroom was small and pokey. Wifi was difficult to log into and was extremely slow. The TV was also slow to load. There was a lot of light coming into the room at night, especially as the curtains didn't fully cover the windows and anyone walking past could peek in. The bar downstairs had loud thumping music til the early hours of the morning and obviously no soundproofing in the rooms, plus could hear the people screaming in the beer garden. They promote that they have kingcoil pillowtop beds on everything. The bed was comfy and the pillows nice and puffy. But seriously the bed was the only good thing about this place. The bedside tables didn't have a shelf or drawer. I honestly did not feel my car was secure in the car park, even though nothing happened to it.
