Wonderful hotel stay for a special occasion

A very nice and well located hotel at the Paris end of Melbourne. Atmosphere is one of quiet peaceful rest, definitely a more boutique kind of hotel vibe, though it is still pretty big. Could not hear much from outside the room or hotel
The deluxe room we had was huge and spacious and a great partial view of the gardens. It was mostly in great condition, though the cupboard doors are a bit warped and the toilet had a funny habit of running longer than it should. Pillows were a bit lumpy - small things, but I expected a little better at this price point. It was certainly more than I would normally look to pay for a hotel, but it was for a very special occasion worth splurging on. Hotel was clean, though a slightly odd smell on the 13th floor lobby.
Service was excellent - particularly the young lady checking us in (Maleeka I think it was, on a Sunday afternoon). Housekeeping who I ran in to in the corridor were quite welcoming too. The attendant at breakfast was also great, taking us through where everything was rather than just dumping us at a table. Breakfast was included in our rate and very tasty - but charging extra for a barista coffee in a 5 star place feels a bit more budget than it should.
Didn't use the pool or other amenities, but they are certainly there.
Would I recommend and stay here again, yes and if I needed or wanted a 5 star property in Melbourne this would be the first place I'd look.

Room comfortable, check in staff helpful as room wasn’t ready until 3.30pm. Upgrade was received. Breakfast was hit and miss. Great options but a lot of hot options needed replenishing.

Hotel is in a great location, staff are wonderful and amenities good. But I don't like that there is a large window beside the bath facing into the bedroom - even with a pull down blind!

Booked in for staycation to celebrate a special occasion. Was a good stay, but not perfect.
On face value, the Sheraton Melbourne is very nice hotel with good leisure facilities (pool, sauna, gym etc).
Location - great.
Room - spacious, big comfortable bed, but really bad pillows. Sore neck.
Also, I went with Sheraton over some other 5 star hotels due to the advertised 'deep soak' tub. Bath tub was good enough but not really deep soak and definitely couldn't fit 2 people for a couples soak. TV only had free to air channels, with a ChromeCast provided for streaming, however was difficult to use due to the poor quality internet. Movies were buffering and painful to watch.
Service - appreciated the complimentary gift provided (special occasion), but the note showed a lack of awareness and was offensive. (eg addressed to Mr and Mrs AFTER they saw 2 females checked in)

Nice hotel in central location.

This hotel is in a good central location, pretty close to shopping and bars and restaurants. There’s a tram stop nearby too, with the trams around the centre free to use. The room itself was comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom is a little different… with a large window between it and the room, but thankfully there’s a full length blind to protect your modesty!
