Clean & Tidy and owners/managers that went the extra mile

We attended a Wedding at the nearby Midginbil Hill and the location of the Bushranger was excellent.. walking distance but in hot humid weather the car is probably a better option!. The room (Room 1) was a fairly typical motel room - it was clean and had a bed (plus bunks), Tea & Coffee and a mini fridge and bathroom. We had asked for a Baby Cot and Iron and there was a bit of a mix up where they went to the wrong room but it was all sorted quickly.
During our stay we were unfortunately subjected to the Cyclone Debbie and were flooded into the area after the wedding and couldn't make our flight out of the Gold Coast let alone out of the town due to terrible flooding, landslides and washed out roads. Alan and Shirley kept us updated, bought umbrellas and even opened up a cottage on the grounds to allow us access to a TV, kitchen and just a bit more space overall. We had internet in the common areas which was great given the rural location. They advised us we could stay as long as we needed which was comforting given we had a 5 month old baby with us and didn't want to risk the terrible weather and road conditions. They even emailed us afterwards to make sure we got home okay.
Many thanks again!

These wonderful guests were trapped at our resort with other guests in the worst weather conditions we have seen here in 25 years. We tried our best to ensure they were comfortable until it was safe for them to leave.
The best reward was to later receive emails from them that told us they had all arrived home safely.

Owner is insane. Stay away for your own sake

See photos to explain it all
Never witnessed such unprofessional behaviour in my life!
Owner is abusive, will ban you and refuse a refund, contact your personal number and do all of this because you gave a negative honest feedback. Very scary behaviour from a business owner

I would sue this person for defamation except I know the loser has no money. They never set foot on the property. Before their date of arrival I reported them to Booking.com for harassment and abuse. Booking.com read the messages they had left on the Booking.com messenger service and banned them from our property citing our safety as a concern. Booking.com dies nit take such action lightly and usually will take the side of the customer and not the hotel manager which speaks to how disgusting these people's behaviour actually was.

NIGHTMARE

We had booked to stay here for a quiet get away but due to border changes around new years day we were forced to cancel our trip. I had processed a cancellation request 2 days prior and it was denied. I tried unsuccessfully to make contact, until the day of the booking when my phone calls and emails were finally answered. I was met with pure hostility and rudeness and an unwillingness to negotiate. We are a young family and would have been happy to change the date, name or even a partial refund, but the manager refused and called me a liar because our residential address is different to where we were travelling in Victoria. I have never known such atrocious and horrible service.
For anyone travelling in this beautiful region, consider staying elsewhere as the manager here is extremely rude and unprofessional. There are so many amazing places and people in this area who delight in hosting and creating beautiful experiences, spend your money elsewhere.

This woman is a serial liar. When Victorian border closed she cancelled last minute despite providing a Western Australian address. She was asked to provide proof of her Victorian residence but failed to do so. Gave only ridiculous excuses. She said many things that indicated she was lying about being in Victoria. But as she harassed us incessantly I did a quick google search to see if I could verify she was lying. I found her FB profile saying she worked in Lismore which is in NSW and only about an hour away. I still have no idea why she actually cancelled but I know she wasn't in Victoria. Don't appreciate being lied to or about. Certainly no way to be granted a refund you are not entitled to. We have granted refunds to others who were honest and had legitimate reasons for cancelling even when we were not required to do so.

Quiet, clean, peaceful stay

A nice spot to stay, room was spacious, clean with a Queen bed and double bunk beds. Nice clean pool, free wifi reception on the verandah (not in the room), and no phone reception so if you want to make phone calls, make sure you have skype on your phone and put some money on skype out calling capability. There is mobile reception up the road, on the hill just past the turn off to Midginbil Hill. Comfortable bed and quiet, so very restful. Some good views a short distance away and Crams farm up the road is very picturesque. You need to take all the food etc you require...
The wifi is not in the room, you have to go outside to the nearby deck area.
This is pretty much self serve - we never actually met anyone!
There is a pool and people using it seemed happy with it - looked clean and well maintained.

Basically a large room with tea /

No TV or microwave.
There is a cabin which would be great for an extended break.
A very relaxing place to stay.
