Lovely Country Experience

Although my stay was only for one night, I found the room to be clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything I needed. It was a cold winter evening, but the room was warm and cosy, making for a very comfortable stay. The restaurant was lovely, with a welcoming country atmosphere and a cosy fireplace in the main dining room. The food was excellent and perfectly complemented the relaxed country charm of the venue. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning on my next work trip.

Pleasant surprise

I have to agree with a previous reviewer that the bed mattress wasn't the best (room 2). The rooms are dated, but that aside very clean and tidy with a quiet a/c and good shower. We went to the restaurant attached and were pleasantly surprised with a wonderful decor and comfy dining. The close attention by the owners had our meals out in no time and were delicious.
Beer on tap a bonus. We will stay again next time we are up this way.

A weekend in Monto at the Colonial Motor Inn.

An older building which shows, particulary in the bathrooms. The rooms were clean and well supplied with towels and blankets, with a reverse cycle air conditioner that worked well as a heater for cold winter mornings. Meals were available but we were with a club rally, so ate elsewwhere. The key question is would we stay again?? Yes we would. The man in charge was friendly and supportive. A good experience.

Bed way past its use by Date

Location and room okay however mattress was way past its use by date. Complained and Manager did turn mattress but didn't really improve the sleeping experience. Room 23 definitely not worth $150 per night.

The rooms are very average and in need of a refurbishment.
The mini bar was the best stocked mini bar I’ve come across in a long time! Payment for these items could be by leaving cash which I thought was a nice touch.
Unfortunately the bed was super uncomfortable with a very old and saggy mattress. The sheets also could do with an upgrade. Hubby and I both had a terrible night trying to get comfortable.
The staff member I dealt with was very friendly and efficient.
