Quaint and characterful. Did not have facilities as described (ie no functioning wifi and brig your own coffee) the word "boutique" is doing a lot of heavy lifting but its cute, cosy and the birds that visit are wonderful.
Must like owls!

For the price point of this accommodation it was very disappointing. The bathroom had no door to the shower causing the entire bathroom to be wet. No mirror above the free standing bathroom sink. Mirror in the bathroom was opposite the toilet! No milk supplied. Arrived at 3pm and the cottage was absolutely freezing taking over 1.5hours to warm up. Entry to the cottage was half way down the driveway and up a heavily overgrown pathway with no lighting at all. Needed to use our phones to see where we were walking. The note to take our own rubbish out, considering the cost we paid was also rude.

Horrible accommodation, not worth the price

The place was way overpriced for what it was and just awful. We stayed in Owls Croft cottage, my partner and I were really unhappy. Staff weren’t even there for check in, poor communication from staff, the room was musty, had cobwebs, no internet connection or reception, hardly any towels, no robes, hardly any condiments, no complementary items, BYO everything for $400 for the night, no lighting on the path to the cottage, hardly any signage to find the cottage, honestly the list goes on! They also lied about the supposed mountain view from the cottage.
Not to mention, there was a creepy hand written message saying “Be careful, they come at midnight” which maybe was left as a joke but added to the already creepy haunted vibe the place had. It was so bad that my partner and I didn’t even stay the whole night, we checked ourselves out and the relief we felt driving away returning to our home was like nothing else. I highly recommend you DON’T stay there unless you want to waste your money and time.

Unfortunately, there were a number of issues that affected our experience. The lamp beside the bed was not working, and the bathroom light was hanging out, which was both inconvenient and concerning. We also found that a pill box had been left in a drawer, which suggests the room was not thoroughly checked prior to our arrival. Lots of dust behind the bed was not good for my allergies.
In addition, there was no milk provided, the kitchen had limited plates and cutlery, and there was no spa bath soap available. The photos advertised a breakfast pack, however this was not provided during our stay.
Prior to arrival, I contacted you regarding an early check-in but did not receive any response. We also attempted to contact you during our stay and again received no reply, which was disappointing.
Finally, as this stay was to celebrate our 4-year anniversary, we were hoping for some form of personal touch or acknowledgment, especially given the way the accommodation is presented online. Unfortunately, this was not the case.
Overall, these issues meant the experience did not meet our expectations or align with what was advertised. I would appreciate your response to these concerns and clarification regarding how this can be addressed.

Going to start off by saying that when you advertise a cottage in the middle of peak summer then you should ensure that at the very least the aircon is working. The place felt like a furnace the moment we stepped in and when we switched on the aircon it was not working. I promptly messaged about it hoping someone would come and fix it next day. We were staying for 2 nights only. The first night was unbearable. Kids woke up in the middle of the night as the upstairs rooms were very very hot. So had to do some make shift arrangement in the room at the ground floor. Unfortunately nothing was done next day, which was not a public holiday. So we left in the evening and did not complete our stay. Lucky for us we live in Victoria so travel was not an issue. On top of it, the wifi was also not working when we arrived and only started working late at night after my initial complaint. All in all, we will not be staying here ever. A complete waste of money.
