Fantastic base for the Bathurst 12 hours
Stayed here for 4 nights for the 12 hour race. fantastic view over the circuit by the chase from the balcony, only went into the circuit for about half an hour to buy a tshirt and a program. The room was super size, more than ample for a solo trip.
Breakfast was included in the room rate, and the buffet was good and plentiful. I also ate dinner in the restaurant all 4 nights and really enjoyed the choice and quality. The staff in the restaurant were friendly and professional, I wish I had taken the name of the male member of staff who looked after me and dealt with one of their colleagues on my behalf when she became a bit of a jobsworth about not having a reservation on 14th Feb when I had already been shown to a table by the other person I refer to.
Reception and checking in / out were helpful and easy, and called for a taxi for me when it was clear that my uber app wasn't going to produce a ride.
Obviously, being an event weekend, room rates were much higher than would be the case when there is no racing, but as this was a one-off trip from the UK, well worth it. Not sure the hotel would be me choice for local exploration as it's a little out of the way for anything other than the circuit if you're carless.

Mid week stay
The room did not look like what is advertised on the website. No bedhead on the walls, just bed placed to wall. Upon returning home, the room shows on the website as the Conrod Suite is a newly converted boardroom set up for meetings. This would explain the massive round table with conference room chairs to sit at for breakfast or dinner.
The shower did have marks etc, and in the bathroom as per the attached photos, there was a lot of dust.
The beds were not comfortable and seemed quiet old in this room, it was like it was quickly converted back to a room for our stay/visit.
All in all for $660 stay I was not overly impressed at all. Would i return, if it was to that room, no, as I feel a bit duped by the set up as opposed to what is shown on the website.

We had someone go into our room and take our lunches out of the fridge while we were out, even though we had the green sign on our door not requesting room cleaning. Spoke to Management who stated no one should have gone into the room. After a lot of discussions and informed that head office had been contacted. Management stated that would be in contact with hotel.com and arrange a full refund for the night and a free breakfast. Apparently being followed up on Monday 3/8/26

Trying to contact the hotel the week before was non existence as no one answering the phone. However on our first night stay I had a fall in the bathtub, cracking the bath and injuring my knee. Chole was wonderful and I can't thank her enough. Great location and highly recommend.

Cold outside and inside
Absolutely freezing inside. Expected to walk in from the cold and enjoy the warmth but that was not possible. The room was nice but cold when we arrived. The a/c struggled to warm the room. The restaurant was also cold. Again not what we expected. No electric blankets sadly.
The promised extra 10% discount to Rydges members was not automatically applied and we had to request it.
The room was nice and clean and aside from the a/c the noise was minimal.
The receptionist was very obliging.
