The room was spacious, very clean, and the cleaning staff took extra care to make sure I had everything I needed each day. The air conditioning and all appliances worked very well. The owners are very friendly and caring - I felt welcomed like family. They have a list of all the upgrades they have made, and all the upgrades they are undertaking, which shows me their willingness to improve the quality of their customers' experience. My stay was quiet, peaceful, and very close to town for food. It was great value and I highly recommend staying there.

⭐️ Disappointing Stay – Wouldn’t Return
I recently stayed 2 nights at Murwillumbah Motor Inn and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience.
The biggest concern was the security of our room (Room 18). The door lock plate was literally being held together with a folded sugar packet jammed into the frame, which clearly shows management already knew about the issue and hadn’t repaired it properly. That did not leave us feeling secure at all.
The unit itself was also not clean on arrival and generally felt tired and poorly maintained.
The shower leaked constantly throughout the night and couldn’t be turned off properly, making it difficult to sleep with the dripping noise.
Another downside was that smoking is allowed outside the rooms, so cigarette smoke drifts straight into nearby rooms. Not pleasant when you’re trying to relax.
The whole place feels like stepping back into the 1970s and is badly in need of updating. To make matters worse, other rooms apparently had Chromecast connected TVs, but mine didn’t — so I ended up trying to watch Foxtel on a phone in bed for two nights.
Honestly, it felt like I may have been given the worst room in the motel.
Sadly, based on our experience, I would recommend staying elsewhere.

We arrived late, rang reception and they guided us through the process to get into our room. No problems.
Room was good, clean and comfortable.
The coffee pod machine was a nice touch. Very appreciated.
Good hot water and quiet air con.

Was ok.
Unfortunately my room was not clean or made up after the first nights stay.The bathroom was very old&dated&needs renewing desperately.
The room facilities were ok.Wardrobe cubboard was broken&bed was not really comfortable.
