The main concern for me was safety, the lock to the sliding door didn’t work that well, it did lock, but it was able to be pulled slightly open. The deadbolt also didn’t work so it felt quite unsafe and I debated leaving but ultimately stayed and everything was fine. The windows also didn’t have security screens - there was a strange double window set-up instead.
Parking was great! It was right next to my room and under cover. The shower was really hot and a good pressure, I really enjoyed it!
Overall 3/5 stars. If the safety was improved I would have rated it 4 stars as it’s a decent budget stay suitable for a quick overnight stay.

Just keep going
The room we were allocated had a broken sliding door which wouldn’t open fully then wouldn’t close at all
We were moved to another room.
There were no water glasses, plates or cutlery
There was also an unpleasant smell, the TV remote didn’t work ( finally discovered it needed new batteries)
No shampoo etc supplied only liquid soap
The outdoor areas were also very messy ie prunings next to our room, dirty linen on the concrete outside reception
We have stayed at many country motels throughout Australia and this would have to be one of the worst

DO NOT stay here.
It was terrible. When I checked in, the bare footed receptionist said, "sorry, we have no towels, the delivery has not arrived. Actually, I am not sorry, its not my problem" !!!
2 hours later, our towels arrived.
The room itself was clean, kudos to the cleaning staff.
The problem was the people hanging around the rooms. They were obviously on drugs. While we were there an unregistered vehicle came into the parking area, where a sale of something took place. I can only assume it was drugs.
The people circled our car numerous times to see if there was anything in there worth stealing.
In total, 5 different people were milling around the hotel car parking area. To make it worse, the receptionist was talking to them all, so she was obviously friends with them.
The place just gave off a very bad vibe. Although we had paid already, we checked out after 3 hours.

“Sorry, no towels, our delivery has not arrived. Actually I am not sorry, it’s not my fault”
An absolute disgrace.
2 hours later we eventually got towels.
